Gleich verweg, das kleine Nikon hat einen sehr ungleichen Kontrahenten und zwar das große Habicht 42x10 von Svarofski um gut Tausend Euro. Bin also bei der optischen Leistung -Ferngläser betreffend- sehr verwöhnt und nicht leicht zu begeistern.
Das Habicht ist dreimal so groß und viermal so schwer und MUSS daher optisch besser abliefern - allerdings war ich wirklich erstaunt wie knapp dieser Vorsprung ist. Am ehesten in der Dämerung und bei sehr schlechten Lichtverhältnissen spürbar.
Das Nikon bidlet sehr sauber und scharf ab und geht in Punkto Farbtemperatur eher ein wenig ins kühlere. Es ist super leicht und kompakt und ich würde es vor Allem zum Wandern und Reisen empfehlen. Punkte abzug gibt es bei den konstruktiven Details. Die rausdrehbare Augenmuschel ist sehr leichtgängig und billig gemacht - funktioniert aber soweit. Und das zweite Manko das mich persönlich mehr stört ist das große Spiel des Schärfereglers - dieses geht beim wechseln der Drtehrichtung fast 5mm leer durch - was eine hohe Eigenheit mit sich bringt und viel eingewöhnung/übung braucht.
Da würde ich ganz klar Punkte abziehen!
ABER - das Ding Kostet um die 80 Euro -...

These produce a clear, bright and sharp image as you would expect from Nikon. I would normally not spend this amount of money on a second pair of binoculars but I had a voucher and they were in the Amazon Wearhouse sale, just the box was misshapen.

Ok. I believe are better options out there for the price specially for the quality of the lense. Not bad but not great. Look for options and more reviews before buying. Shipping from overseas so a long wait. Nothing wrong for waiting..just FYI.

Very good for the price - tiny bit of Chromatic aberration sometimes, large sweet spot, lines stay straight to the edges. Center wheel is slow and has a bit of play on it but is bearable. Clear image, I can make out small details on birds at 70 meters but one is limited to good daylight conditions.
The eyecaps are useless - they will fall off and eventually crack as they are poor quality plastic and fit loosely.. The center housing that covers the hinges creaks a bit when you press on it. The eye relief adjustment is too loose and the setting moves as one handles these bins. One is advised to wrap some material under the eyepieces to stop this happening.
Lastlly, fairly heavy for their size, one can get lighter mass version of this type but at least they feel solid. I wish Nikon would publish full specs on these - I assume BaK-4 prisms but dont know what the mirror coating is made of.nor what type of glass is used for the lenses.

The Binoculars (10x25) is great, it's so small, I can easily take it to anywhere, no need to worry the space of the backpack, just put it in pocket will be fine. and compare with my old binoculars, this one is super with a clean and clear image, not find deformation, not find any purple line around the object, the overall image is clean and sharp. It is enough for most daily use, with a little practice you can hold it stable in front of your eyes.

Bought it to use @ the World Cup in Brazil.
Used it for two games sitting in the nosebleeds. This allowed me to get far closer to the game. I could not see faces up close ... but with the quick movement of the ball in football, I really did not want to see faces - I wanted to see the game and the movement of the ball while getting closer to the action.
This little binoculars was brilliant.
The zoom was sufficient, it felt stable (which is saying a lot since I have shaky hands), was easy to carry, and the optics were BRIGHT! I actually felt that the scene was brighter through these binoculars than in real life - not sure how.
I rarely wax eloquent about my buys - this one certainly deserves the praise.

what more could i ask for. small, portable and works great. i'm no optics expert but these are awesome!!!!!! i have a big pair but geez they are a pain to carry around. i'm very happy with the product and price.
