Birdlin: Recently I had a minor skin cancer scare so I decided that I needed to wear a hat while outdoors. I have been very pleased with this hat! It is cool to wear and does not flatten my hair. The brim provides good coverage and I like the opening for my ponytail. I have a narrow head and do not like wearing loose hats. This hat fit me well and is adjustable. The color was true to the picture. The adjustable neck tie stays put so I can wear the hat while boating. I highly recommend!

JSP: It seems like a well made product but as soon as I put it on, it felt tight. I walked outside for 40 minutes and it protected my face well and stayed on, but when I took it off I had a huge crease on my forehead from where it was too tight and even an hour later I still have the crease mark. I measured my head and it is about 22 inches around where the hat fits. So it definitely runs small bc most hats are too big on me.

Pacific Northwest reader: This is a lovely hat--nice materials, pretty color--but it is intolerably tight, even adjusted to its largest, on my 22.5" circumference head (I carefully measured my head exactly as hat sellers recommend). I have thin, straight hair, which adds very little bulk.

The seller describes "Hat Circumference: 21"-23"", but this is overly optimistic. Based on this one particular hat, I'd say it would fit small to medium head sizes, about 21-22", though 22" would still be quite snug, especially for those with an oblong head shape like mine. A round head with circumference 22" would probably not be too tight.

It's a very pretty, nicely made hat in a beautiful color, with a good brim width and handy ponytail hole...just way too small for me.

Update: I liked this hat enough (pretty color, nice construction and materials, ponytail style) that I decided to work with it a bit, putting both hands inside and gently working it into a more oblong shape. I'm pleased to say it is perfectly comfortable now for my 22.5" circumference, oblong noggin. Still would be quite tight for a 23" head, I think.
