Kimberly WatsonKimberly Watson: After a month from purchase I’m pretty please with my BBRKIN Gun Safe. One problem though, the finger print release is very touchy and won’t open a lot of the time. You have to place your finger just right to get it to open. Not very good when you need to access your gun quickly.

Melanie: I love how the door opens on this safe versus others. The safes with the buttons on the bottom (base) make so much more sense. The entire safe has more room compared to those with the buttons on the door that opens which have wires going through the bottom. This one has removable foam on the bottom to easily access the holes to bolt it to the floor and a locking cord. It doesn't come with batteries but not really a deal breaker. Love it, it's very similar to another safe I love, and it's exactly what I wanted.

Justin Spina: Thumb print and keypad release works great. Interior lighting works great especially if you need quick access at night. Safe is pretty heavy steel, I feel like a sledge hammer would pop it open eventually but again this is a secure box more for quick pistol access. Holds my glock and 3 magazines, with room for cash passport and silver bullion. Very happy with purchase

Tim: Seems solid. Easy to program.
Instructions weren't great. Even though it's the numbers + finger print model, there were no instructions for the finger print setup. It's the same as the numbers so no big deal there, but I wish there was some clarity on how many prints it holds. For example...went into programming mode, scanned a thumb, exited programming mode. Went back in and scanned index finger, exited. Both prints worked. Does it hold 2? 10? Unlimited?

The only other thing I would caution is that if you're buying this for a pistol and looking for something silent so that you can surprise a burglar in the debt of night, this isn't the one for you. The sound the opening mechanism makes when activated is quite loud.

J. Wisnicki: The manual included in the package did not describe how to register a fingerprint, but the online manual did. I only made one mistake, then all went well. I expect no problems, everything seems simple.

Jon: I purchased this safe as a gun safe for my sub-compact pistol. I have 2 young children who need to be safe not only from intruders, but also from the dangers of a firearm in the wrong hands (mainly their own).

Build Quality: Consistent with what I read in other reviews, this safe is hefty. It's made of thick metal, and I have no concerns that there is any easy way in (aside from the 3 entry methods: code, fingerprint, or key). This will work perfectly to keep my children out and also anyone quickly rummaging through my house if I were not home from easily accessing my firearm.

Setup: I have yet to look at the instruction manual. Based solely on the reviews I read/watched prior to purchase, I did a full setup of my prints, setting a new code, and silencing the safe in under 5 minutes (easily). Couldn't be easier.

Sound: When I received my safe, the first thing I did after putting batteries into it was hold down "1" for a few seconds to silence the safe. Even when silenced, you can still hear a fairly quiet mechanical release of the locking mechanism when opening with the fingerprint scanner or the code. The key entry just has the "click" that any spring loaded...
