Adam: Pretty solid coffee table. The top that comes up like a counter top and storage isnt the sturdiest. The instructions were a tad confusing. Its only pictures no word instructions, was quite confusing. Overall decent for the price.

PonderingPondering: Assembly was challenging even after watching video. Figured out way to balance table and top to attach top. Be careful not to overtighten cams. Works well once assembled.

Vwags8995Vwags8995: It looks great! Fits perfectly in my living room. Was a bit of a problem getting the top on. Also didn't come with predrilled holes for all the screws they recommend. They should have put them in if they suggest so many screws.

Anita ReyesAnita Reyes: I read and screenshot a lot of the helpful hints that people have posted. Especially about putting the hinges on the top first. I also told my son to bring his drill since I didn't think a simple screwdriver would suffice. He got it put together in about an hour....he did put the top on backwards and had to re-do that part. He even had his 2 year old "helping" by stealing the drill and screwdriver. I will say that:
1) he's only 28 yo...he's still limber.
2) he's put a LOT of furniture together at his own house so he's gotten pretty good at it.

As most people have commented, a CON would be that you need 2 hands spaced apart to lift the top. It doesn't lift nicely with one hand. I haven't noticed it banging closed but...I also haven't opened and closed it a lot yet. The table doesn't come as close to me when raised, as I'd like as I have it in front of a reclining loveseat so if I use it to eat at, I'd need to slide the table forward. The cubbies are not very high, as you can see even my smaller books had to be laid sideways. But for the price I paid, I'm not complaining. I'm very happy with it.

Arda Cengiz: We wanted a lift-top coffee table for a long time, and then finally decided to get one. We chose this one and we were not disappointed!

Putting it together was NOT easy, I will say that. It took 2 of us about 2 hours to build, and some steps were pretty uncomfortable. To screw the lift system on, we were lying on the floor with the screwdriver, and it's an awkward angle to reach some of the screws. So be warned that you do have to be pretty limber to build this thing.

Another note is that the lift system is NOT soft-closing. If you let go of it it will slam down, and there is no cushion. To minimize noise when closing it, we stuck felt sliders (for chair feet) to the underside corners of the top.

The colour is really nice, and now that it's been built we love it!

Rafic El Kouche: I LOVED IT. Great for small spaces & very useful for dinners while watching TV. Only thing is assembly. It is not the best design. You need to drill holes in one of the wooden panels, some holes don’t align perfectly with the screws… but overall great once assembled.

Sinthuja Kun: It came before the estimated delivery day, which was perfect as it arrived in time for the holidays. It was very easy to assemble, but I would consider this a 2 person job. And the table itself is sturdy, but you need to use both hands to lift the top off. You need to put one hand on each end of the table when you lift the top off, you can’t do it with one hand or do it with both hands in the middle. If you do the table top becomes lopsided and only one side will lift up, while the other side struggles.
