C. Remillard: It was never meant to be my go-to tool, just supposed to fill a temporary need, and that it did great. The instructions and markings on the device were confusing as to where to place it for different thicknesses of wood. The markings on the jig seem to imply lining it up more forward to the edge of the wood for thicker panels, which makes no sense as that would just place the exit hole far off-center and likely chip out the panel. The written instructions did not help clarify this apparent conflict. I ended up just pushing the countersink drill into it and figuring out how far to place it by lining it up with the panel in profile, visually. A bit of painter's tape with a marker line on it and i had something repeatable for that panel. It's not repeatable across multiple jobs though, i wish i had a better understanding of those markings on the jig itself.

Ricardo Estrada: No usaba uniones con este sistema, pero me urgía terminar unas mesas y decidí probar. Realmente funciona muy bien, pude construí dos mesas de trabajo con todo y llantas en dos horas (desde cortar la madera hasta dejarlas funcionando). La unión no es tan sólida si sólo ponen tornillos, por lo que, además, las pegué con un poco de Titebond: con eso quedaron durísimas.

Para las emergencias, es un gran método de construcción.

Ryan Chernochan: I’m just getting into woodworking and wasn’t sure if I was getting caught up in the “I need to own every gadget possible” phase when I bought this. It was between this and the Kregg and I wasn’t even sure if I needed the larger version rather than this “mini”. I can’t compare it to the larger more complicated versions nor to the Kregg counter part but I can say, the reasons I chose this OVER the Kregg were 2 reasons...1. I throughly the magnet in this version would be handy when using it with metal clamps and 2. The measuring guide markings on the side (which did not come with the Kregg mini). Both of these options have come in very handy and I’m positive make this easier to use than the Kregg version, they can’t not. I’ve used this jig way more often than expected because I‘ve realized as I’ve made my various projects that things just look better then the screw is hidden and I find myself reverting to doing a pocket hole rather than most other forms of joinery. I’m also quite lazy so the fact I revert to using this will tell you it’s really quite simple to use and doesn’t take much more time and the end result is quite nice. Someone commented that...
