We the People: So my almost 11 year old corners me to do these puzzles with him. He Loves them!! I had hoped the reviews were on target and they were. Colorful pages, engaging directions, smart solutions and clever answers, the puzzles are fun, tricky, and hours of fun!! Thanks and make more!!

beverly: This was an instant hit for 2-8 yr old boys and an 12 year old boy. The 12 year old was at first turned off by the cartoony artist work but soon the solving process took hold with a furry. The younger boys did need the instuctions explained but then they were off solving . They worked the whole page then checked answers on all puzzles . The only drawback came when the pages fell out of book as we worked on them . The pages were not being held in the binding which is why I gave it a 4 not a 5. We just got to the first section of puzzles so not sure how the rest of the book will hold together . We had to tape the pages together to help with comparing the needed differences. If the book falls apart more I would have to rate it lower as this slows the gaming process. This is not stopping me from ordering another as the boys enjoyed it so much.

Lisa B: I enjoyed most of these puzzles but the book spine almost immediately disintegrated and the pages are falling out.

Leah406: My clever 8 year old has spend HOURS reading/playing with this book. It literally has kept her occupied longer than ANY OTHER TOY OR BOOK she owns. The puzzles are challenging, separated into different types, and include answers in the back. I have to admit, I have also poured over this book solving multi-step hidden object puzzles! GREAT BUY!
As far as an age recommendation - my child reads at 5th grade level, but is still very "8 yrs old" when it comes to reasoning and following instructions. The multi-step puzzles do require some parent participation, but she has not run into anything that was so hard as to be frustrating or make her want to give up on the book.

Tammie: American English which can be tricky if you don't know the correct term, or alternative spelling, but still worth a buy.
Lots of various puzzled in sections so you can pick and choose, well laid out colourful, and get the grey matter working!

Dillon Frost: I really like the colourful puzzles and that they are mostly different and not too challenging that I want to give up before a minute has passed. The problem I have with this book is that American English is used so for a large number of the puzzles I get stuck as I don't know what the American equivalent is.

Pusheen: We really enjoyed this puzzle book. I purchased it for my oldest child who is 8 years old and in third grade. The puzzles were challenging, but MOST of them weren't SO challenging that they caused her to want to quit or not like it. She asked for help on some puzzles (spelling of words, or answers to parts of the puzzle she wouldn't know, like what an hourglass is) but overall a good challenge that most kids should be able to do at the suggested age range. Most of the puzzles aren't simple either; when I tried my hand at them to find the answers there were times where I really had to work through a process to find the solution. I highly recommend this book for children who like puzzles or for children who need practice with their critical thinking skills.

Amazonbooks4me: I can't begin to tell you how AMAZING this puzzle book is. There are weeks upon weeks of entertainment in this book! And even though the cover looks like it is geared for a kids only audience, it's not. Kids and kids at heart will enjoy solving the endless variety of puzzles, codes, crosswords, mazes, etc. that this book has to offer. When you open the book for the first time you will be shocked by the full color puzzles that are beautifully illustrated. I've been working on this book for a month now and am still not finished. You will never want to put this book down or ever want the fun to end! There are puzzles in every type of difficulty level so it's sometimes a challenge and sometimes just relaxing and mind-numbing. The puzzles are addicting! And If you want to change to a different style/type puzzle, just flip to a different chapter in the book hosted by different characters like Sherlogic Holmes (logic puzzles) and Alice in Wanderland (mazes). This is a GREAT birthday gift or Christmas gift for anyone that appreciates illustration and puzzles. Even if your child is too young for this book now (I wouldn't recommend for anyone younger than 8) still buy it now while you can...

erin wiedmer: I bought the book more for my eight year old, but the puzzles are too difficult for him as his vocabulary and his logic are not quite developed enough. For my almost 12 yr old, it's great - it gets both of us thinking!

Jan Fitzgerald: This is a great book, great for adults, very challenging. Puzzles are small. I would love tittles of more books like this.
