S. Simon: I ordered 2 sets of these. Everything arrived in good condition except for 1 broken bowl that the manufacturer replaced. The dinnerware initially looked beautiful. I suspect they would have stayed that way if I had hand washed everything. Since these are my daily dishes that are suppose to be dishwasher safe, I don't hand wash them. I clean them in a Bosch dishwasher. At the end of the wash cycle, the dishwasher does a rinse cycle and heats the water to a very high temperature so that the dishes will dry on their own in a condensation dry cycle. I suspect the high temperature rinse cycle may be damaging these dishes.

After 6 weeks of use, the more frequently washed plates have gone through about two dozen dishwasher cycles. I am noticing discoloration in the glazing on the frequently washed plates. They don't look good under direct bright light. They have streaks and rainbow discoloration. Unfortunately I bought 2 sets of these thinking they would be more durable. I expect plates to last for years, but these will need to be replaced much sooner.

JB: I was concerned that pieces make be broken as dishes can be sometimes get banged around during transport. The dishes are perfect and exactly what I was looking for to compliment my new kitchen!

aet: The 40 piece Delray set arrived without any cracks, chips, or breakage. None had any rough edges or bottoms. Could not perceive any imperfections or inconsistent sizes . All stack easily. All fit into my Bosch dishwasher. Can not attest to durability etc. as have not had for sufficient time but all appear sturdy and well constructed with a good finish. Like that salad plates are a little larger than most dinnerware sets and could use in a pinch as the regular plates (and perfect for children). Hopefully they will last as I am very satisfied. Update. Have been using a lot and still no problems, The small bowls are very useful for many purposes: snacks, condiments, spices and chopped items for cooking, mixing small amounts etc. One reviewer noted that the plates were a little shallower then other sets which is true, so if you serve a lot of dishes with a lot of fluid you have to be careful if transporting to the table. Once on the table they are okay. . Like the cups as they hold as much as a mug but have a design that is better for a dinner setting. Definitely dishwasher safe.

Ellen Boles: They arrived on time and in perfect condition. I love the shape of the bowls, not those Wide, flat ones that some sets are.
The mugs feel light but work just fine.
