Bradley Harris: It really kept my head warm but when turning to look around, the hood didn’t move with my head. In the dark it’s easy to lose which end is up, but you realize quickly enough & it’s easy off/easy on. I would buy it again.

Gene3: Was hoping this balaclava would be a nice addition to my Northern New England cold weather hunting apparel. Wrong. This item is just not "user friendly." Appearance and feel are just "okay." Fleece is dense and warm. Color is good, and camo pattern is vivid. Craftsmanship is adequate, but in no way noteworthy. Drawstring arrangement is primitive and takes some fiddling to adjust. There is a built-in 4" collar that runs around the entire inside of the hood, which folds up or down to create the face-mask section. It is almost impossible to adjust that once you have the hood on. The neck hole is small, so it's hard to pull the hood on/off over your head. The "snout" of the hood is long, with no way to adjust it, so it severely limits your peripheral vision. The hood fits snugly on your head. Forget about wearing a ball cap under this hood. You absolutely can't pull the hood over your head when wearing a cap, and it's really difficult to fit a cap in over your head once the hood is in place. The bottom of the hood is quite long, but it doesn't flair out at all. Combined with the material of the built-in collar, you end up with an annoying, uncomfortable bulky mass of material around...
