Medela Swing Maxi Double Electric Portable Breast Pump for Moms on the Go

Deanna: For the first 3 months of using the Medela Swing Maxi everything was great! It did a great job pulling milk out and was comfortable to wear and easy to use. However at the 3 month mark the battery stopped holding a charge all together. It did not matter what I did, it would not hold a charge anymore. Given I bought this product to be able to pump on the go when I may not have access to a port, losing this function is absolutely disappointing, especially after only 3 months.
It does work just fine when it is plugged in.

Yareli M.: Es un producto excelente, funciona muy bien, práctico y funcional. Solo hay un par de detalles, 1. Se necesita el bustier para manos libres, de lo contrario hay que sostener con las dos manos, pero eso no afecta su función.
2. SÍ ES UN DEFECTO DE MI PRODUCTO. Uno de los sistemas de succión no funciona, tiene una fuga y solo puedo hacer extracciones de un lado.

Oscar Fernando C: Literal es el mejor aliado, ahora en el trabajo puedo extraerme, en el carro, en todos lados. Llevo lactancia materna diferida y junto con la hielera de medela (que se vende por separado) puedo extraerme y almacenar en cualquier lado. Me encanta que es portátil y puedes llevarlo en tu bolso. Siempre con todas las medidas de higiene necesarias.

Llevo 10 días desde su compra y ha sido una maravilla.

Paolo Latrofa: I absolutely love the new Maxi Swing portable pump. I have 3 children and have breastfed/pumped with all of them. As a busy mom, I am always on the go, go, go. This pump was life changing.

I am able to plug it in during car rides and pump while I drive since it is hands free. Once I get to my destination, I just pour the milk into a bottle and I am ready to feed the baby.

Around the house, I use a Fanny pack and place the pump in it so that I can do laundry, wash dishes, change diapers and even eat meals while pumping. It’s working out great.

I only wish that Medela provided a Fanny pack for the pump that fit it perfectly. They do provide you with a backpack, but you can’t wear the backpack while pumping.

The backpack is very sleek, lightweight, small and portable. It is very cute and stylish. I love how the side pocket opens and has the cooler. That is a very cool feature. There are also stands that hold the pumped milk so that they don’t fall over and spill.

This would be my favorite backpack/carrying case and pump out of all 3 Medela pumps that I have used over the years!

As far as battery life, it gives about 10 hours I would say...

Amazon Customer: I was given this pump as part of a Friends and Family Program with Medela by a friend of mine who works for the company. In return, I am to provide an honest review of the product.
With my first child I had a different brand of pump and I had plugged ducts ALL THE TIME and mastitis twice. I produce A LOT of extra milk so it was hard to get it all out. So I was excited to try this pump since they stated that you could extract more milk with the pump + the Medela name, I figured it would be a good one to try. I have not had a plugged duct yet and feel like my breasts are draining well.
This pump works FAST! I can pump 14 ounces total in 10 minutes and feel like my breasts are drained completely. It's quiet, which is always a huge plus, it's super portable - the small pump has a loop on it that you can easily put a lancet on and hook it on you and get chores done while you pump.
The only thing worse than cleaning a juicer is cleaning a breast pump 5 billion times a day. But as far as pumps go, this one is easy to clean, no hidden nooks and crannies to get into. So that's nice.
The one draw back is that the tubing did get water in it. I think because the pump wasn't 100%...

ErinErin: I received the pump from Medela at no charge in order to try it and provide an honest review. Initially I expected a lot from this pump, it's #4 in my pumping journey.

Initially I had issues with it, because it didn't look like it fit together -- but an email to support helped me figure out my issues. The pieces looked like they were supposed to fit flush together, but didn't. After talking to support, I understood that as long as there was suction it would be fine.

As far as this pump goes, it is great for travel. The suction is effective and the bag makes the pump very easy to tote around. The flanges come in 21mm and 24mm which was great to help me figure out what size i needed (all my other pumps had 25mm and 28mm options). I really appreciated the rubber edges to the flanges, too, as they made the pump more comfortable to hold against my breasts. I have used this on road trips and the size and portability have made pumping in the car so easy. It was also quiet.

My biggest complaint is that if you don't have the Medela family app, you cannot check on how the battery level is. If you're at home that isn't an issue, but on the road it can be harder to keep...
