I bought this to specifically empty my hot tub. That's all it had to do for me. It worked very well, It is light, easy, to set up and use and worked as advertised. The only recommendation I have is to buy a 1 1/2 flexible hose used to drain pools or other water as a garden hose does not do as well. The power of this unit is adequate but not enough for pumping water through small hoses over a long distance OR pumping water up any height. But for my purpose with a 1 1/2 flexible hose on a hot tub it earned five stars. It drained the hot tub to less than an inch of water which was easy to remove with a shop vac. A good value for the money for this purpose. I can't review for other uses.

Pump worked for about five minutes then shut off. I thought maybe it wasn't getting power so I messed with that for probably 20 minutes to verify it had power. Finally got it started back but would never prime and start pumping water. It kept shutting off and I never got it to work again. Completely junk and a waste of my time and money. Do yourself a favor and find a better pump!

I bought this to empty my hot tub. 1500L was emptied out in about 20mins. I was able to put a 1-1/2" sump pump hose on it and used a clamp to tighten in on.
I recommend this pump for hot tubs and small pools.

This pump was very quiet and was able to drain my above ground pool in a couple of hours thru a garden hose which I used to water plants. Gave the pump to a friend who is now using it as a pump for a fountain for his in ground pool.
