Lauren Birkinshaw: I’ve seen subtle changes over the month my dog has been using this! She can be a bit funny with it on her food but a little bit of gravy on and she can’t smell it 100%! I would suggest trying, my dog is 14 and has liver failure, this is apparently a great alternative to the expensive vet treatment! :)

Amazonian QueenAmazonian Queen: My 7 year old JRT/Rat terrier mix has been struggling with an elevated ALT since her teeth cleaning one year ago when they discovered the concern prior to her teeth cleaning, it was at 400 (normal is around 185). After an ultrasound which only discovered an enlarged renal duct on one side and a change in her diet to Hills precription L/D food, it only came down to 300 but right before her scheduling teeth cleaning (2 months later of trying to get it down) it had gone back up to 310. We decided to clean her teeth anyways as we believed the bacteria in tartar and gums could have it's own contribution to toxins. A year later of prescription food I decided check on her and her ALT had increased to 1400! We then tested for Cushings disease which came out negative. At this point it was red alert alarm stage where I was really worried about my fur baby. I decided to make homemade food (variations of lower amounts of protein like white fish, no salt bone broth, hard boiled egg, boiled finely shredded chicken, boiled sweet potatoes, white potatoes, green beans, peas, carrots oatmeal and rice) for her and found this product with good reviews. I can't say if it's the home cooked foods (fed...

DandyDandy: Our eldest dachshund had a very high liver enzyme count when bloods were taken, following major gastric surgery. Our vet recommended a tablet that contained various ingredients to support the liver. The tablet brought his enzymes down, but, it is very expensive for a months supply, and on some days I would find the soggy tablet later in the day hidden near the fridge freezer. Reading reviews online, I became aware of several customers who had similar issues , and had tried the Maxxi SAMe instead with great results. Had a good read up, the SAMe quantity was identical, with silybjn too, from a different source, but also several other excellent ingredients , such as vitamin B12, B6, B1, B2 inositol, and choline. These are very important for nervous system and brain function. Plus the fact , that the tub is very generous for the money. So you get more benefit for a far more resonable cost . My dog has 1/4 scoop twice a day ,which is 1.25 gms for his weight of 6.6 kg. I purchased this tub in March and will need my next tub in July . The final clincher for this product, is the advice and customer service from the manufacturer. They have a great website with a dedicated phone line. When...

Sylver: Okay, so anyone reading this or looking at this product has a pretty sick fur-baby, me too. We're desperately trying to find something that will help. I saw this product and its good reviews, and figured I'd give it a try. So far, so good, though I won't know actual results until we have labs again in three months. So, why am I writing this review? Because the customer service is outstanding, I had my order shipped from the UK site, being in Europe, and had some questions and concerns about the product and delivery. The company was extremely helpful! I noticed that the biggest complaint was dogs refusing to eat it. My girl normally isn't picky, but since her liver disease has progressed, her occasional tummy troubles became almost a daily issue, and often she would refuse to eat. I give her this supplement divided into multiple servings to lessen any taste and add it to her 'cookies' that I've devised to tempt her. She has yet to refuse this, and after just a few days seems perkier and more like her old self. I will update my review after the next blood test. And if you're interested, here's her cookie recipe, they can be frozen for storage and then defrosted a bit before adding...

NH: Final update 5/24/2017:
This will be my final update to this review, as we unfortunately had to say goodbye to our wonderful dog Barney last week after his slow onset of degenerative myleopathy had progressed too far. I cannot say enough good things about the MaxxiDog company as they helped us find solutions to make Barney's last year+ as comfortable and happy as it could be. I truly believe that the MaxxiSAMe product had a positive effect for Barney and was key in making his last time with us a happy one, as it really seemed to help mitigate his symptoms of Canine Cognitive Dysfunction (CCD). I have changed my review to five stars to reflect this. Please continue reading below for the original review, and the other updates on how we ended up using the product. (Spoiler: The most effective way to get Barney to eat it was to do two small pumps of MaxxiOmega oil with it to make a paste, and then put the paste in American cheese like a weird little sushi roll! He never turned his nose up at this option.)

Thank you again to the MaxxiDog company for your excellent product and wonderful customer service.
