Pineapple: Very easy to install. The best feature of the item is that it is not made of plastic. It includes the clamping band, which is tightened via a screw, and was sent as a pair (two valve fasteners, and two band clamps). Again,..very easy to apply.

submarine: Used this Chuck/head to repair a bicycle pump that could no longer stay attached at anything more than 30 psi. After the repair 65psi are no problem.
One cut, put the hose clamp over hose, push barb into hose and tighten hose clamp.
The only reason this isn't 5 stars is that while small the hose clamp is still too big so when screwed in tightly the worm part sticks out and can be a cutting hazard. I'm going to tape it over easy enough.
When I ordered this the replacement hose from the same brand was out of stock, but I think it would be easier for most just to order the replacement hose with the Chuck already attached.

Dave GDave G: An old Black&Decker Air Station (model 9527 Type 1) air pump I own and use for car and bike tire inflation was no longer usable. The only problem being the original clamping chuck on the end of the air hose would no longer clamp down snugly on tire valve stems to allow the air pump to work to inflate tires. I purchased this 2-pk 1/4" lock-on chuck with accompanying worm gear style hose clamp set, and used to repair / replace the failed original clamping chuck.
This repair was done by cutting off the old chuck and hose clamp (crimp type) and about 1-1/2" of the hose to give me a clean and unstressed end of the hose to use for affixing the replacement chuck. Applying a little household bar soap both to the barbed end of the replacement chuck and inside the hose facilitated the chuck insertion into the hose (approx. 1/8" hose ID). The supplied worm gear style hose clamp was then able to be used for securely clamping the air hose (approx. 3/8" hose OD) onto the chuck barb in a way that does not impede the chuck clamp operation.
