Donovan Kim: This is high quality and very portable. It fits into my small tackle bag and I take it out on my kayak. Easy to use, wish the batteries would last a little longer but I use the sound feature.

Derek Fitcher: I have only used this for ice fishing. The measurements for water depth are accurate and match pricier flashers that are typically used. I did use the extra holder for ice fishing and let the receiver sit at the bottom of the ice hole.

You do have to play with the sensitivity to mark fish properly. I can't wait to try it out in the summer off the dock or the side of my canoe to see how well it works.

I've only used it for ice fishing and its bang on, and I used it with a fish camera and it recorded the fish , recommend it

Rocque: Full disclosure, I bought this from Amazon Warehouse deals. But that doesn't matter because what was in the box WASN'T what was ON the box (or on the product page).
EVERY picture on the product page (except one) shows colour on the screen. White fish, blue background, orange rocks, green vegetation. But the screen on the unit in the 'colour screen' box I got was just black/white LCD. Even with the back light on, there still wasn't any colour. So I can see why it was returned in the first place.
Because there is no model number on the finder (not that I could find on it or in the battery compartment) I can't find out if the wrong unti was in the wrong box or if the product page is completely wrong.
But, I didn't get what I paid for. Amazon did refund my order however.
This is an example of Amazon's 'inspection' policy...'oh, it turned on, it works so we'll resell it'. I guess checking as to WHY it was returned or that it matches what's on the box doesn't matter.
All that being said, it turned on, the demo mode works, there's no burned out LCDs...I just haven't thrown it in the water yet to see if it actually detects fish because the new fishing season JUST started...

C. S.: Seems pretty good. Didn’t like what seems like scam for a case from the seller. Shipping was a lot I guess prime didn’t count? Will test it out review for real.
