Kathleen: I got this kit as a replacement for my attic stairs in the garage when the pull rope broke. Installation took just 5-10 minutes. The ring is good quality and the pole with the hook is quite sturdy. The kit comes with an extra hook. It looks so much better now without the dangling rope!

Not sure it’s worth the price yet, and I can’t speak to the sturdiness until it’s been in use for a while, but so far I’m happy with it.

Lydia A. Capano: This hook replaced an ugly nail protruding from the drop down stairs. It gives a nice finished look now. It’s easy to install, makes it easier to pull stairs down and is sturdy. Why I never changed it before baffles me.
