Ron: Definitely well built and the accessories are quite a bonus. The price was right for us as beginners but this feels similar to ones you would spend x2 the price on at the store.

NYNYNYNY: I’m new to the ukulele, so I asked one of the best players at my ukulele club to tune it for me. He has six ukuleles himself and is an amazing player. He was taken aback when the G string snapped while doing a routine tuning. He said it could have been caused by the poor quality of the string, so he replaced it with a better, new one of his own. Then it also snapped! He happened to have a third G-string that didn’t match in colour but I told him to try it, anyway. It slipped out of the bottom part where it’s secured in place but at least didn’t snap. What’s going on? It’s such a nice looking ukulele and I ordered this one because it’s an Amazon choice plus I recognized the person in the ad for it whose YouTubes I really like. So I figured it wouldn’t cause me headaches like this. I don’t know what the problem is.

Angela CAngela C: I have only had this Horse Baritone ukulele for a few days, but here are my thoughts and findings so far. I have some musical knowledge and, for the price, this is a good little instrument. There are a few small negatives, but first the plus points. Its design is simple but attractive, the wood is pleasing to look at, the finish is good all over, and it came with no dents, scratches, or other marks. There is a nice bright strap with it. It possibly needn't be as wide as it is as the instrument is not big or heavy, but I like it fine. It's easy to attach and adjust. It's comfortable in use and doesn't get in the way of your hands. The notes are true and produce good octaves at the 12th fret. The tone is really nice. The action height can be adjusted via a nut inside the base of the neck using the metal tool provided. The carry bag is padded for protection and pleasing to look at. The front pocket contains an easy to apply capo, should you need it, a couple of plectrums, spare nylon strings. The gear mechanisms for tuning the strings seem to be if reasonable quality and are neatly mounted. There was a small dessicant pack inside the body, so watch out for dropping that if you have...

RaymanRayman: The media could not be loaded.  I am very impressed with this instrument. The build quality is excellent and it comes with great accessories, all for a very reasonable price. This is an excellent value!!
First of all, the the ukulele itself has fantastic action and great playability, and a very comfortable neck. this is exactly what a beginner needs in order to succeed. I really loved the feel of the carbon strings, they didn’t take too long to settle in tune, usually new ukuleles and strings take a considerable amount of time to settle in. These settled in very nicely. The build quality of the ukulele is excellent, I couldn’t find any flaws in the construction. The fret ends are nice and smooth, a compensated saddle provides better tuning stability and the enclosed tuners are nice, and work very well.
As far as looks, this is a beautiful instrument. Gorgeous wood grain with a nice semi gloss finish I absolutely love the horse inlay at the 12th fret. Nice touch! The head stock logo is also beautiful.
In addition to this excellent instrument you get a very good padded gig bag, strap(with 2 strap buttons already on the ukulele), capo, extra strings and picks. I...

Paul D Bagley: What follows is my review for the lotmusic “Horse” concert size ukulele. I consider the ukulele I reviewed to be an excellent value in a beginner instrument, and may be something a more experienced player may want for use outdoors or in places where they would not bring their more expensive (and fragile) ukuleles. Read on for more information about the ukulele I received.

I’m a bass player and guitar player that also enjoys playing ukuleles. Most of my ukulele playing is with a weekly local ukulele jam session, and I also like to attend ukulele events within a reasonable distance of home. These were all cancelled in this year of COVID, but I’m optimistic that we’ll be back to jamming again next year.

I’ve collected a few ukuleles in various sizes over the years, so what follows will directly compare this ukulele with two comparable instruments I’ve owned as well as instruments I’ve tried in local music stores.

Joseph SJoseph S: The media could not be loaded.  I was provided this ukulele for review, but would have happily paid the advertised price to have it! It’s an excellent ukulele for a beginner just starting out (like me!), and I think it would bring joy to a more experienced player as well. The mahogany top, sides, and back have a nice grain pattern of alternating light and dark areas and the satin stain has a rich honey-amber glow that is especially beautiful on the side grain. I tried to It show off as much as I could in the photos and videos, but it’s even more beautiful in person.
Sound is good. No buzzing, good sustain, nice and bright tone from the D’addario strings.
I was impressed with the gig bag: nice construction, good zippers, roomy front pocket, good padding. The logo on the bag (also repeated on the headstock) looks nice as well.
I was not as impressed with the included accessories: 2” wide strap (too wide in my opinion), guitar sized capo, and no tuner. Extra strings were included, so that’s a nice thing. I’d much rather have had a tuner than the capo.
