I've known this comic for a while, and it's beyond beautiful. I've read the digital version on webtoon and decided to buy the hardcover books for collection purposes. It's beautiful and my favorite retelling of Hades and Persephone

The comic is vibrant and beautiful. I have been following Lore Olympus on WEBTOON for ages and now that I have the first volume in had I couldnt be happier. So happy with the packaging and delivery. Can wait to collect the others. PS get it for the bonus chapters😍😍

Rebecca Smythe is a wonderful writer and made the best story about the pantheon I’ve seen, yet. Her character designs are so beautiful! The art is gorgeous, I love the texture of brushes she uses.
The relationships and the history between characters are so interesting and follows the pantheon well. They live in modern times on Olympus and in the Underworld, so have smartphones and whatnot, but the human world is living in ancient times.
I love the facial expressions the characters make in any given situation. Adds to the overall mood of the scenes. It’s highly relatable and does justice to how a character feels about her sexual assault by another Olympian. The character even goes to therapy, which is very healthy and sets a good example on what should be done after such a trauma. Her assault wasn’t violent or graphic so it isn’t traumatic to read, but her emotions about it are realistic. So far there hasn’t been much justice but a handful of people close to her know and support her. It’s tastefully done so it shouldn’t trigger anyone too badly. Eu simplesmente amo essa história, já acompanho ela no WEBTOON a anos e quando saiu o livro físico não poderia perder a oportunidade.
Comprei capa dura e chegou perfeito, nenhum amassado, nada. Estou relendo a história e marcando algumas partes com post-it.
As folhas são aquelas bem tradicionais de histórias em quadrinhos/Graphic novel/Novela gráfica. Aquelas folhas mais durinhas meio plastificadas, mais ou menos como alguns papéis de foto (quem lê histórias nesse formato vai entender).
Por enquanto só temos na versão em inglês, mas caso venha a ser traduzido comprarei também.
Ah, eu olhei o preço e foi convertido a nossa moeda mesmo, não foi cobrado a mais como vemos em alguns casos e eu amei isso também. Obrigada por essa história apaixonante. Uma das minha melhores compras foi esse livro.

If you live romances? This is for you. If you love mythology? This is for you. If you love beautiful illustrations and a storyline that will have you fully invested? This is for you. Rachel Smythe does a fantastic job of retelling such a common and popular myth in a way that is modernized and endearing, especially for those of us that prefer the tellings where Hades and Persephone truly love eachother. The only time I would say this book may not be for you is it very much so discusses trauma, particularly SA trauma, that in my opinion is so realistic and so true for so many of us down to the self-gaslighting. If you've experienced trauma and need to avoid it for your mental health sake, this book may not be for you. But I can say the way it's been handled so far in the Webtoon (which is more advanced than this first volume chapters wise) the growth is wonderful and healing for many. All in all, a gorgeous book.
**Amazon could have packaged it a little better as a 4x too large box with 3 air bubble packs still resulted in my hardcover book arriving with a small ding in the front cover and 3 dented corners, especially given that this would have 100% fit in...

As an avid romance lover, I LIVE for the happily ever after. I want to laugh, cry, and feel all the things right along with the characters. 😂😭😍 After another long bout with depression, reading and writing had lost its luster these past few months.
That is until this story came into my life...
I discovered the Webtoon of Lore Olympus through a random Tiktok on Hades and Persephone. I knew nothing of Greek mythology nor the wild story of Persephone's kidnapping. Not only has this graphic novel inspired a thirst for knowledge, it brought real joy back to reading again for me.
The enchanting artwork of Lore Olympus flows flawlessly from page to page as the storytelling weaves an intricate web of intrigue. It doesn't shy away from the hard subjects (sexual assault, etc.), but handles them as well as the victims with grace and dignity. It's hard to strike a delicate balance between the beauty of love with the ugliness of life, but this book does it and does it well.
Drawing from Greek mythos, LO brings a fresh look at age-old stories and breathes life into them again with modern twists and turns to engage you even further....
