RobT86: Nick’s books provide an easy and mainly enjoyable read, the ending becomes fairly obvious, but there is a moral. Yes, I wanted to see how it developed; yes, I wanted to see how it ended; yes, I did find it humorous - not something I say about much of the modern humour peddled by Amazon.

Petelang: To be honest, I've read a few of Nicks works, and this was not at all exceptional. I feel that he's issuing so many now that the quality of outpouring is diminishing. The phrasing is a bit rushed, repetitive and to an extent, a bit childish. Still, the subject matter was worth exploring, despite it decaying into sillynes. Come on Nick, I think you can do better than this.

catch it: This was a good pacy read , the main character with his foul-mouthed inner dialogue was funny and relatable. A good book to have on the aeroplane for me.

Carol Kanthan: For me the book was a let down. The idea was good and some parts funny. I found that a lot of the story had course language.

mzelaineousmom: I laughed and learned. It's fiction with a voice of truth with lessons....enjoyable read. It does start a little slow, but definitely picks up. Stick with it; I don't think you'll regret it.

Suzana Stojakovic - Celustka, PhD: Very useful and easily readable book for today's (over)networked environment. We all need occasional digital detox, but the more important thing is to find a balance and not only in our everyday use of technology.

Robert Petkovic: Nick Spalding is my favourite author to read over summer vacations, because his novels have this amazing ability to switch my brain into vacation mode very quickly, not insulting my intelligence in that process. The part of his efficiency is that his novels keeps me out of online gadgets (which may sound odd because I’ve read most of this novel on Kindle device, finishing it on my iPhone), helping me detox digitally.
This book is about that process and in a nicely cheesy way tells what may happen when we are totally dependent of online information and ignoring the real life, while improving the real life is usually the reason we go online the first place. The book also tells a light story on addiction of any kind, but also says that love can be a cure for everything (which is a sleezy Hollywood like detail). It’s a book on life, not on line. Love it!

shiawase: I’d enjoyed reading You Again? by the same author and found the same lightness and humor here. A lot of it was over the top and ridiculous, and several times I did laugh out loud. Many people can relate to spending too much time online or on social media, and this is a story about Andy doing a detox from social media, getting a bit locally famous for it when his story is shared in the paper, and all of the weird things that happened next.
It’s hard for me to rate this book because it was great entertainment to listen to in the background while doing other things, but it never felt super compelling, either. The message at the end was predictable just from reading the summary blurb.
The narration was great!

Anahys Ceballos: Andy is a man of the 21st century: he spends most of his waking hours connected to the Internet, or using some sort of technology. Truth is, it has made our lifes so much easier. However, this has ended up with Andy suffering from great stress, some physical conditions and a very hard to beat addiction. The remedy? Logging off for a certain period of time, to detox.
The book is written with tremendous amounts of dry humor and great sarcasm. Andy unnerved me at times, but it also made me reflect a lot on myself. It was entertaining, over the top, hilarious and refreshing. The best thing: I'm also considering my on version of a digital detox.
Totally recommend this book.

Taniya Ghosh: This book could not have come at a better time for me. The concept of a digital detox or a social media detox is trending these days and as humans we're almost mostly sceptical of things that seem to blow up overnight. This book talks about a healthy balance and both the pros and cons of logging off. And it definitely made me rethink how much of an impact my phone has on my life.
Nick's writing is to-the point, easy to read and funny. I finished the entire book in one sitting!
