Isaac: Maybe on another model of car it would work but I just didn't enough room to make this swivel wrench work. It did not put enough friction on the filter to get it to turn. Not seeing much use for this wrench.

SamJones: My oil filter is the size it says it fits, but the wrench is much too big for it. It twisted upon the first use due to the small size. I am sure this is great for a larger filter, but if you are aiming for the small end of this, sandpaper is a better option.

Greg: I bought this oil wrench because it's specifically for "small oil filters".
I tried to use this on my Nissan Altima and fought with it for 30 minutes. Slip slip slip slip slip. That's ALL this junk does. It doesn't bite onto the oil filter at all.
Do you know what the Lisle wrench does really well? It's fantastic at causing physical injury. My hands have all kinds of cuts and bruises on them. They hurt for a couple of days after using this product because of how much I banged them up. Almost every time attempt at using this wrench was met with the wrench slipping off and my hand flying into something hard and metal and sometimes very sharp.
This "tool""...if you even want to call it a tool...cause me extreme amounts of frustration.
I ended up going down to the local hardware store and bought an AllTrade oil filter wrench. Paid $15 for it. I just checked on Amazon and it costs the exact same as this piece of crap.
After bringing it back home I tried it and got my oil filter off ON THE SECOND TRY!!! The first try I didn't seem to have the strap tight enough. My bad. But it sure as heck didn't take me 30 some failures. And I didn't hit my knuckles once.

Amazon Customer: The original 3” inch oil filter on my relatively new car was exceptionally tight. The filter is also not very accessible. I couldn’t budge it with a crown or cap type wrench that I have had in my tool box for years. The wrench didn’t fit tightly enough and it slipped as I increased the force needed to turn the filter. I then bought filter/PVC pipe pliers that is described (Amazon) as suitable for small oil filters. I thought it would fit between the pipes near the filter. However, I couldn’t apply the necessary turning force without gripping the filter so tightly that it began to crush. In the past I’ve had the best success with strap type filter wrenches. So I then purchased this wrench (also from Amazon). It seems well designed and made. The gripping surface is metal with some abrasion points that provide for a non-slip grip on the filter. This was essential in my case, because I had to apply such a large force to break the filter loose. The wrench also has a feature that allows the handle to be offset. I found this to be very useful for avoiding the various obstructions. I am very pleased with the performance of this wrench in this exceptionally difficult...

I use this for my Chevy Silverado 5.3L.
The filter is in a spot that is very hard to get a grip on manually. This wrench does the trick.
