Audrey J: I purchased the purple/dark green hammock first, for myself, just to see if a lower priced hammock was worth it.
The hammock arrived, upon opening the attached stuff sack, I noticed the carabiners were attached to rope instead of pictured nylon straps - this is okay because it feels more sturdy to me - just mentioning it because it's different than pictured.
I had purchased these in conjunction with the Foxelli Hammock Straps XL, so I didn't have to fuss with the enclosed rope (I'm not comfortable with my knot tying skills). I would highly recommend those for that reason.
My boyfriend, in trying to find a good spot to hang this, was testing it out. He's definitely under the recommended weight limit but heavier than I. We had some disagreement about mounting techniques - I think its acceptable to just sit on the sit on the short side and position yourself into it, he thinks you need to first straddle it, then position into it. Well, the straddling technique caused the stitching on the attached stuff sack to pop and it was left hanging by a thread. Not a big deal because I hang both this and the strap bag from the carabiners now anyhow.
This is advertised as fit for two...
