D. Smith: The remote took me some getting used to. At first I thought it only allowed one effect at a time but, then I got it to work with multiple lights and was happy. This is perfect for small dance floors. I used it at a Wedding and the venue left the hall lights on and my light wasn't too close to the middle of the dance floor and it looked okay there. It looked better in the clubs that I used it in where the dance floor was closer to the DJ Booth. I love the Gobos and how we can have 4 Gobos at one time and doing various pattern selections. I wish the lights were a little brighter but, it was good to not be a type of light that is in your face causing light fatigue. I don't think it gets hot. I don't care much for the strobe going off when we do the pattens. It is a bright strobe light. The strobe light is good to use for certain songs. The lasers are neat but, I try to keep them off if people are under them. I don't use fog but, I am sure with fog the lights would look pretty cool! For around $75, this light is a Great deal. It's good for small Venues! If you need a light for a large venue, then I would suggest getting a bright light. I would recommend buying the 4 in 1 light for use...

Mitchell: Really surprised that this worked. Lit up a 50x50 event dance floor like a huge disco ball. All we did was hang it in the corner and let it go with the lights out.

Brian: Bought this looking to add a little extra to kareoke night and hoping that it would pulsate to the beat. Out of the box it seems fairly sturdy with a metal housing. Straight forward setup, just attach the stand and plug it in. Since I bought it mainly for the sound reaction I got right to it. Tested it for about 15 minutes. First, it definitely lights up the room and does bring a wow factor. Next was how well it reacted to sound and this is where it disappointed. Sound modes are not very good. Music modes 1 and 2 just seem to do their own thing regardless of sound. Music 3 is more reactive to sound rather than go along with the beat. That is, it laser lights just go through their sequence faster and not according to the beat. Tried songs with fast beats (Beat It) all the way down to slow (Tennessee Whiskey) and lights changed at the same faster pace. The manual pretty much says that is how it is supposed to work, oh well. There is also about a 2 second delay before the lasers start to react when sound comes on and off. lilmuklilmuk: The media could not be loaded.  As someone that was into the club scene in the early 2000's I'm a fan of progressive house, smoke machines and laser lights. I had been wanting to add some sort of laser light to my basement bar setup for quite some time but many of the units I looked at were a bit too pricey for my use. On a whim I decided to buy this one and it definitely blew me away!
I'll start with the weakest link, the remote. The remote for this light is quite small but has all the necessary buttons to switch effects fine and the range is ok for my use (about 20 feet from the actual light). Sometimes you have to hit the buttons more than once or move it around to get it to change, but for $45 what do you want? There are different modes for just LED, just laser, a mixture or sound activated settings. I'm sure you can find something entertaining with the selections available.
I have tried this with and without the smoke machine and it is WAY better with the smoke on and the music jamming. I placed the light in the upper corner of my bar area and it illuminates pretty much my entire basement with the normal lights off. With the lights off, the smoke machine on and...
