Michelle: These shorts flared out at the hips where the pockets were. I liked the high waist and it had a comfortable waistband. The leg openings were not too wide or too small as to be unflattering or tight. The length was longer which I prefer. I just wear a longer shirt over the flared part to make them work.

Michele A.: I have very similar Land's End swim shorts from 10 or so years ago in size 8. They still fit, but I had to return this pair twice, ending up with 6P. Using it for lap swimming, and it's comfortable but felt like it was slipping down when I got out of the water. I wasn't aware of the swishing sound reviews complain of.
It dries considerably faster than the corresponding tank top.
