RLFCARS: This brace is perfect for my use. I do not like climbing ladders in the first place so having some stability is extremely important. This solves the issue. Easy to assemble and install. I recommend this product.

BBCUE05: I used to use just the extension ladder, and it was a bit unstable. Put this on and it works just great. I feel very comfortable reaching out along the gutters. It made a difficult job easy. On top of that, once you put it together (not hard to do) it attaches easily, and you can remove it easily.

Om: Safe, stable, 2 bolt pins released and it's off. Built to last, rugged, best materials, easy to put on an off, as light as it can be. Can't be made any better. Cost alittle more than the many knockoffs but worth it.

A & J PDX: Just going to get to the point, the little orange feet come off too easily.

I did a whole house gutter guard install and this came in very handy. I was worried it might slip since our roof is corrugated metal, but the feet sit nicely in the grooves and keep the ladder from moving laterally. Not leaning the ladder directly against the gutters (applying pressure) also greatly helps with cleaning gutters/installing gutter guards (which would get hung up if too much pressure was applied to the side of the gutters).

That said, I "lost" one of the orange rubber feet multiple times. Either getting knocked off when repositioning the ladder or falling off when bringing it down. Very annoying when you are think you are done with a section, but need to head back up the ladder to fish the orange foot out of the gutter etc.

I'm thinking about drilling a hole straight through to insert some hardware to bolt those suckers on.

asdfasdfasdf: I have a long history of learning things the hard way.Recently I was putting a metal roof on my shed on a very hot day and got dehydrated to the point of having severe muscle cramps anytime I used any muscle. Hands, feet, abs, lower back,legs or arms. To top it off I was working alone. Yep, lots of world-class stupid that day. I knew there was no way to safely use the laddder to get off the roof because I had set it up in an unstable way. I wasn't a super genius that day but I do learn from my mistakes. I ordered a :Ladder-Max and used it to finish the roof this past weekend. This is a great product for what I was doing. I set the ladder so that the max ladder pads were against the side of the shed to do trim work and on the roof to finish the roof. I followed advice from another reviewer and put a cheap mat from Home Depot (get a thin door mat with non-slip rubber backing on one side and indoor/outdoor carpet on the other. I think mine is a TrafficMASTER-Enviroback-Charcoal-60-in-x-36-in-Recycled-Rubber Door Mat) on the roof to set the pads on.
