Sandra Bartholomew: The media could not be loaded.  I wasn’t sure. I read the reviews. Like most, My cat has so many toys . She lives this straight away. She throws it across the room and chases it. She even takes it to bed. Best purchase ever .

Farah: Firstly I’d like to say: the toy - great. The catnip - also great. My cat, who doesn’t usually play with anything went absolutely feral playing with the toy, he loved it (because of the catnip) and so I was happy with this purchase. BUT. The fluff from the toy started falling off immediately, I’m not sure if it’s because my cat was too eager when playing or if the material is poor but a lot of orange fluff was left on the floor.

Amazon Customer: I purchased this cat toy for my parent's kitty who loves it as much as my kitties do! Easy to refill with catnip, my cats play with and carry this toy throughout the house multiple times a day. Since it is "well-loved", a feather or two has fallen off after many months. Would recommend.

Jules: My cats love this toy, especially with the catnip. However, my flooring is constantly getting covered in little bits of orange from the toy so it won't last very long, which is a shame.

Madhu: Really good toy but there catnip quality can be better

thecosmicbartender: Purchased for the timeshare cat. He gets very high on the carrot, rolls around like a lunatic, the carrot is sopping wet. It's not something you want to pick up and he gets very, very possessive of his plush root vegetable. You really don't want to attempt to separate him whilst he's in full flow doing what he's doing with his toy.

He's lovely and furry, but he has very sharp pointy bits and these are accentuated by the new drug "Carrot". Imagine the Tazmanian Devil in small deceptively cute feline form, that is the effect of the Carrot on the timeshare cat. He's a very small, slight cat.

He then gets the munchies, wanders over to the bowl and just about removes the glaze from the porcelain.

Next thing he spots the Christmas tree. We aren't sure what he actually sees but it's Parkour time! Ka- boing, he's up the curtains; on the dining table; he's Tarzan swinging on the Christmas decorations; playing the game where he's crossing the room not touching the floor. Thankfully, he can't get to the lampshade - it's an old Victorian property and just a bit too high for him - THANKFULLY!

He's now bouncing off the walls and the tree is flattened, decorations and...

JamesBJamesB: My tuxedo cat Uncle Rico is fat. VERY fat. I am constantly imploring him to join a gym but he absolutely refuses. I think he is being difficult because he is a cat. It's not like I'm intentionally body shaming him. I'M NOT. I'm just tired of my "friends" commenting on his weight when they come over to eat my food. Anyway, I decided to look on the internets for a toy that combines 2 of Uncle Rico's favorite things; small rodents and hardcore drugs (catnip people, relax) So i bought the KONG Feather Top Carrot Catnip Toy, loaded up the pouch with his favorite drugs, and gave it to him. He just stared at me for a minute but as soon as he put his pink nose to it and smelled the herbs it was ON. His pupils dilated like I'd never seen which was a little disconcerting, but Christ on a bicycle he was EXERCISING! Watching him play for a total of 5 minutes (which in people years is 8 hours) is the most I've seen him active since I saved him from the glue factory 6 years ago. In conclusion, if you have a cat, or know someone that is thinking of getting a cat, you should buy the KONG Top Feather Catnip Carrot Toy. You will NOT be disappointing!

smilieface23: I figured that my pretty little kitty would like this toy, but I had no idea she would it this much. As soon as I started to take it out of the plastic from the box, Sally was right there trying to steal it from me as I tried to detach it from the cardboard and put the catnip in it. She likes feather toys but normally I have to entice her with them a little, then once she's decided it's fun, she claims them and will play alone. Not this toy, I literally could not put the catnip in it fast enough for her. I didn't even call her over, she spotted me taking it out of the package from across the room. If this had been something that wasn't bought for her, I would have had to give it to her because once she saw it, it was her's and she wanted it and played with it for like an hour. She woke me up in the middle of the night playing with it. She would probably play with it daily, but we left it at my boyfriend's so it can be an extra special treat for when we go there.

M. Garrett: (2011) This is an update three years after my initial review--I am purchasing some more carrots because it is still the only toy my shy cat is devoted to, and he still sings his carrot songs to them. He now has two well-loved old ones and a new one, and he brings them to me in his mouth, "singing." I am happy to hear that this toy brings out the same talkative nature in other cats. In my cat's case, it is not the catnip that makes him happy--I don't even put the catnip packet in it. Even when the feathers eventually go he loves it just as much. Sometimes I just find the carrots in my shoe or on my bed. It's obviously an act of giving and I will keep buying these as long as they make them!

(2008) I couldn't believe it when I read the review about the cat that "sings" to his carrot toy. I can tell immediately when Alfie has his favorite toy, because he starts talking to it. It is a distinctive kind of meowing that he does only for the carrot. I am purchasing my second carrot, and would never want Alfie to have to go without one. He brings it to me in his mouth several times a day, as if he is giving me a gift. Well worth the money to hear the carrot song!
