Mine made a static pop and hiss noise at times on only one speaker - like an angry snake. I went to the manufacturer site and they said to move it away from your internet router. It worked. Also, if they don't pair out of the box, when you press the pair buttons on the speakers, do it longer than 3 seconds. The light needs to blink quickly, and do the left, then right speaker, then the pair button on the sound bar (Behind the cover on the right side where the boondoggle goes in the big hole). Gee, that sounded weird, but it works. Good luck.

Anthony Smith: Setup was a little tedious, I knew about the required firmware update going into this, and that wasn’t an issue and went fine. They paired up immediately and I was able to adjust the volume of each surround speaker following the guide in the booklet. They’re clear and loud enough for real surround speakers. (These are not full volume full range speakers, they will only play actual surround sounds as they are decoded). Pricey but I caught them on sale and they really amp up the sound bar and sub to a 5.1 system.

MD: I love the idea of bluetooth surround speakers, but even after a firmware update (that is supposed to correct the problem), the speakers work great for a while, then begin to crackle. It's a horrible noise, which can only be corrected by disconnecting the power supply to the affected speaker.
This is a known issue to Klipsch.

itsmeray: I am on my second set of these. Have had the same problem with both. They are too quiet and the right rear channel makes a loud popping noise after an hour or so use. I've upgraded the firmware on the Soundbar 48 and they got a little louder but the loudest noise out of them is still the popping. Volume up volume down doesn't matter they pop. Soundbar volume up or down. Same pop. Bass volume up or down same noise. I guess I could request another set but I emailed Klipsch tech support and we'll see what they say. I had problems with the Soundbar when I got it and had to exchange but not until I got a replacement from the factory did it work right. There was a range of serial numbers they had that were bad. I've seen some questions on these that a replacement set fixed the problem so I'm hoping there is a range of serial numbers affected and they can send me something that is not afflicted with this popping. Other wise I'll look for a refund and give up on having a rear channel.
I kept trying. They finally agreed to replace the soundbar for the 3rd time and the rear Surround 3 speakers for the 4th. I've been patient. I've tried a dozen different suggestions. Moving things...

Wes P: I have these connected to the Klipsch Cinema 600 sound bar, so it now automatically decodes and plays 5.1 channel sound. Our basement den now offers a welcome substitute for cinema-quality loudness, clarity, and surround sound effect. Even when watching/listening to standard quality content, they sound excellent. Many of the negative reviews mention that they are not loud at all, but it looks like most of those reviewers paired these with a Bar 48 without first updating it with the latest firmware. Also, it would not surprise me if the settings on their TVs and connected devices were not correct. The input device might need to be set to send its sound to the TV in Dolby or other digital format, and the TV needs to be set to output its sound in Dolby (or DTS Neo 2:5 or other surround format). If those settings are not correct, then the surround speakers might not make any sound at all, or they might crackle and pop, etc. Once you learn how to use the various controls, you’ll easily be able to individually adjust the volume on each of these, and to maximize or minimize/turn them off with a few clicks on the remote. Don’t believe the haters! I know these aren’t Atmos, but...

RAB: These small wireless but powered surround speakers work well and have been a nice addition to my sound experience when surround sound is available in the various streaming sites. After mounting the speakers to 40 inch high speaker stands, I am left with about a 4 foot limit to moving the speakers away from an electrical outlet. If you are primarily a Youtube viewer (not subscribed to the premium TV version) this product will be a waste of money for you. Many movies streamed through Amazon Prime and Netflix work well with the speakers. My DVDs with surround sound of course work well too. The speakers paired easily with the Klipsch Cinema 600 sound bar and I have not experienced loss of connectivity as other have reported. My speakers are located about 10 feet from the sound bar. All in all I am happy with the product and the way they have enhanced movie viewing.
