Keep your cords and cables secure with CritterCord!DebbieDebbie: The media could not be loaded. Love how thick product is! My puppy tried biting it after I put it on the cord and then quickly got bored with it! I couldn’t even tell where she had been biting the cord! I would buy the product again even though the smell and taste did not stop her from attacking the cord😆.

Wendy Rollins: This smells similar to a perm, at first it smells really strongly & makes the house smell but it fades in a day or so.

This product works great. I’ve been having to replace a couple of cords repeatedly because I have stupid cats that think electrical cords are yummy treats. Found this and it works great! You can generally fit a couple of cords at a time inside, depending on how thick they are. But the cover *is* stinky (if it tastes anything like it smells, it’s no wonder the cats completely ignore the cords now). That is NOT a citrus scent. After installing, definitely thoroughly wash your hands before touching your face. Also, the smell is STRONG. I hadn’t noticed it until I went out for groceries then came back in to my office and started worrying that there was an electrical short somewhere. Thankfully it was just the new cord protector. But it’s now been a week, and the smell still lingers. It’s nearly as bad as an unkempt litter box and I’m not sure I can handle it much longer. I’ve had an air purifier running in the room the whole week and it hasn’t improved things at all.
Highly recommended if your pets are jerks like mine. But just beware that it does *not* have any sort of fresh citrus scent, as claimed in the description.

This product truly works. My kitten loves to chew on cords. I cut a small piece and put it on the end of my laptop cord, one of the many cords she loves to chew on. As soon as I put the CritterCord on, she came up to it, smelled it, and and her face was priceless. She smelled it a couple of times, her face squinted in disgust and then she took off. So this definitely works.
Pros: easy to put on cords. Easy to cut to get the length you want. Nice to be able to use it on multiple cords throughout your home. You don't need to use a lot, just enough on the part they try to chew so your pet can smell it.
Cons: The scent is very strong. Using it works to keep the kitten from chewing but I also smell it (using it on my laptop I'm really close to it). I bet it will fade over time but initially it's pretty powerful. I put the rest of it in...

wapiti30: Maybe it's because my puppy is a JRT but she absolutely loves to chew the "Critter Cords." Maybe because it really does smell awful. But I am afraid I have only taught her to find electric cords and chew them up. She thinks "Critter Cords" is the best puppy toy ever. She chews all the plastic into itty bitty pieces. I pray she hasn't swallowed anything. This product is very dangerous for my puppy. This was an expensive lesson for me. Very expensive. They are all in the trash now.
