cathy dufresne: Not very strong as soon as front door was open dog went under the mesh and out the door

Kasia W: Easy to use and works well. Not sturdy enough for a dog that use claws or bullies their way through things, but enough of a barrier to keep my two Aussies in the back instead of licking my face while I drive! Just bought a 2nd one for our other vehicle. Something to note, I’m short, so one front seat in the car is always way up compared to the other. This does make the screen sit odd, but hasn’t affected its function at all. In one car, I also have a dog “hammock”, which took some finagling to get the straps of both items around the headrest posts, but it’s worked okay.

Janice Hruday: Yes it works! 2 disgusted dogs wish to report that it works and that they have been forced to either just sit in the back or get a small portion of their heads around between the seats and the doors. Very quick and easy to install ,which I like as I don't want it there all the time. My only problem is with the plastic stick used to brace the center. Not sure how long that will last especially if your dog pushes on it. If it breaks I'll find something else to brace it. Using on a Jeep Patriot .

EMM: This is a terrible product! Not 2 minutes into my first car ride with it, the product broke. The "support" pole, which is 3 flimsy pieces of plastic joined together, poked right through the piece of fabric into which it was inserted. Additionally, the wire frame is useless and my dog (55 pound lab) easily pushes it out of his way so he can jump into the front seat. This is actually more dangerous than if the barrier wasn't there, as the barrier pops over into the front and hits the driver. I'm not sure how they claim that the "See-through micro-mesh is guaranteed claw-proof", as mine developed small several tears during this first car ride.
I repaired the support pole and tried another car ride. About a minute into the ride, my dog pushed against the barrier, which caused the `support' pole to break apart and spring out. I'm lucky I didn't lose an eye, not to mention crash my car. I tried using this a few more times without the support pole, but my dog just uses his paw to fold it out of the way (usually onto me as I drive).
The one good thing - - I contacted Amazon and they have agreed to a full refund.

tap595: I have a 20lb cavachon who likes to ride in the car in my lap. I was feeling like maybe that wasnt the safest way to travel. So, I tried to get her to stay in her bed in the back of the car. I wasnt having consitant luck with that. I realize that was mostly my problem as I was not consistant. Sometimes, I'd let her up on my lap and sometimes I wouldnt. So, I decided we needed to be safe which meant she couldnt ride on my lap. I ordered this seat net. It is AWSOME! Very easy to install - about 5 min total. It fits my car very well (Subaru Outback) and does just what it says it does. She can not get through or around it and it keeps her in the back. However, she is less than thrilled about it. Our first trip, about 30 min long, she whimpered and cried he entire time. I stayed strong and kept her in the back. Second trip - a little less crying. I figure that eventually she will adjust and will right without any crying. I do feel that it is much safer. My attention is on the road and I am not disctracted by her moving in my lap. I would totally recommend this to any pet owner. It gets 2 thumbs up from me!!!

Iowa Girl: I bought this product when I got my new dog, a 3-year-old German Shepherd. She is a rescue dog so I do not know her background but what was obvious on the way home from the shelter was that she hadn't been on many car rides. I have a small SUV and no matter what I did, I could not get her to remain in the back seat. Fearing her safety as well as mine, and not wanting to leave her at home all the time or take her to a kennel when we go to the lake, I purchased this item.
The good...It does keep Kenzie in the back seat, most of the time. It is mesh so I can still interact with her as we travel. The barrier is decent-looking. If needed, the barrier can remain installed when not in use.
The not-so-good...The barrier is a little flimsy. I think a larger or more-determined dog could knock it right out of place. I've been working with Kenzie and taking her for many car rides so she's a bit less excited when we go places. While the barrier is mesh, it does slightly obstruct the view from the rearview mirror. Someone with a smaller dog might be able to position it a bit lower to solve that problem. Kenzie is still able to stick her entire upper body along the side of the...

Clare T.: Use this in our camper at night to stop the dogs joining us in bed at 2am. Very lightweight, pops up and ready to use in seconds. We just wedge it behind a seat to keep it in place. If they really wanted to, the dogs could push their way past it and it wouldn't stand up to scratching or chewing. But if your dog respects visual barriers then it works well. Been a great solution for us. Very pleased.
