Oaky: The product works great but the tube is quite long so it might be better suited for a 15 gallon or more. I have a 10 gallon and it can be a bit of a struggle. The algae scraper doesn't really work for me as one side only scrapes the glass but I don't mind getting my hands dirty so I end up just using a blade. Overall though it is worth your money because it does get the job done, is easy to set up, and the price isn't expensive.

Dawn Fuller: First of all...It took some practice! Almost gave up. But once I figured it out, I love it! I have a 30 gallon tall so I didnt need the extension. Bumps in the road were---Pieces disconnect easily. And if the tubing is too long, it doesnt have enough suction to keep the flow moving. So I cut the bottom tube in half. Flow then worked great! I also removed the black glass scraper. Not needed what so ever. I use it just for gravel. I also moved my fish to another tank that I have. Was nervous I might lose them! I did a 50% change. Added back the water and will let it filter for a day or 2 before moving my 2 bigger fish back. Great tool so far! Will use it again on my 2nd tank and do the same routine . Key is---Use it and not give up. I almost did. So glad I worked out how awesome this simple tool is !

Anton Ady: I have had aquariums as a hobby for over a decade and have tried many many gravel cleaners and have always been disappointed how they would suck up the gravel and block the water flow. The Kasan Gravel Cleaner partially overcomes this with the extra long length whereby gravity does not allow the gravel to rise all the way up. The gravel however does rise half the length of the extended tube which would be the full length of other gravel cleaners. What I do then is squeeze the hose and the gravel neatly drops back. The benefit compared to other gravel cleaners is that I do not have to remove the cleaner to unblock the hose.
The handle is designed in such a way that allows for a better grip however the plastic pump on top I can see will crack very quickly and does pop off if gently knocked.
There is air leakage downgrading the water flow. I am yet to determine whether it is at the joint of the plastic pump or at other joins nearby.
Where you join the extension does show stress marks on the tube which is troubling.
In summary, if you cannot extend your existing tube then buy the Kasan gravel cleaner.

Natalie: A solid 4 star product! I was a bit scared of this product since I had read so many "iffy" reviews but I guess I was lucky and got something that wasn't broken. I use this to clean out my fluval chi fish tank. It did take a few tries to get it working properly but after figuring it out it works every time. My fish tank is about 3 feet above ground level so the difference really helps with pulling the most water out. Note that it will take quite a few pumps before the siphoning begins, so don't be discouraged if it doesn't happen as quick as you think. I know I was a bit wary about this when I read some reviews. I do not use the piece that moderates the flow of water since I want as much displacement as possible. The only thing I wish this product had was a skinnier tube just so I could get into the smaller places in my tank. Other than that it would have gotten a 5 star. Oh also note that I use this product to refill my tank as well.

sandy tomeo: So far this is a great little gravel vacuum... Has decent suctioned and doesn't take much to get the suction started. Easy to maneuver as well as Assemble. Works very well at eliminating feces and old food from your gravel as it rotates to gravel in the chamber eliminating this unwanted matter from all sides, and is excellent as a siphon for water changes. For the price, I really can't complain... It's making the cleaning of my 5.2 gallon betta tank so much easier! It's easily adjustable for the water flow Westie clip, so as you don't siphon out way too much water. I'm only using this for the first time so far, so as far as cleaning the filter and such and how easy it is to clean I cannot comment on that as of yet... but it doesn't look difficult.
