Kalamera 24-inch Built-in Beverage Refrigerator Cooler

Pete W.: I bought this to replace a unit that died far before its time. I scoured a large number of reviews (other models, not this one) for a replacement to discover that most people appear dissatisfied with their purchase. This model stood out from the pack in terms of customer sanctification, so I took the chance. I'm glad I did.

Pros:
Great packaging: When my box arrived, it looked like it had been through a tree stump grinder. Someone along the way in the shipping process even wrote "Good Luck" on the top. Not kidding. I had already read many reviews (again, not for this model) in which customers complained that the packaging was lacking and their units arrived damaged. I was pleased to see that Kalamera takes packaging seriously, and the unit was undamaged thanks to 2 inches of packaging material on all six sides.
Ease of operation: Couldn't have been easier. Slid it in the space, plugged it in, and it ran. Temperature controls are intuitive.
Sound level: As others have said, at first I didn't realize the unit had turned on. I had to see the temperature drop to know that it was working. This is truly a quiet cooler. When there is no...

TravisTravis: I will qualify my review by saying I have only owned this for a week so I’m no expert yet, but I will give my honest first opinion.

Pros
Clean simple look
Blends very well with the rest of my stainless steel appliances
Fit perfectly under my counter
Lighting is bright enough to see by and act as accent lighting, but not so bright that it’s obnoxious
Shelves are perfect fit for all of the bottles I had which were slightly different shapes and sizes, but so far none too large to not fit
Operation is extremely quiet and even more so that what I expected with other reviews that I had read

Cons
One of the leveling feet had a screw put straight through it during installation of the back panel which was both extremely aggravating and impossible to fix once I discovered
Materials packed inside were all over the place I only hope that I actually found all of the pieces that were supposed to be in there

Overall the cooling seems to be working well. As to whether or not it is truly dual zones of temperature I won’t be able to tell until I am able to get a thermometer to measure.

All in all a great product that...

Family R: On larger and costly items its significantly harder to maintain high reviews. There is a lot on the table for the manufacturer as well as the customer. It's for this reason that I generally try not to knit pick on my larger purchases.

Overall we are pleased.

The things that surprised me:

I was impressed by the packaging. It is on a custom pallet, fit to size and the box lays right over the top of the product. So when it comes to unpacking it's a matter of simply cutting the tension cords and simply lifting the box off the product. Not only did the product make it safe and sound I really appreciate the thoughtful "ease of entry."

I was impressed with the styrofoam tray under the product. I feel that someone designed the product with a thick styrofoam tray that helps it stay stable during shipping, however, it also served as a great resource as we were testing and fitting the item into our new space. I could safely drag the wine fridge around my wood floors without scratching the unit or my floors.

It's pretty quiet... no louder than my free standing fridge. no weird vibrations.
