Kindle Customer: Came here having listened to some of Tempest's music and read The Bricks That Built The Houses. Found a similar integrity and honesty here, but in a more directly personal way. Having spent a lot of time reading 'management' books, this brought me down to earth and got me thinking about how I interact with the world and the people around me. Powerful.

ljs: This book hardcover edition is so small and tight that if you have joint pain your hands suffer a great deal holding it.
I’m not sure amazon is the place for a book review, but I was not amazed at what this author had to say. It made me reflect a little bit but I couldn’t find myself relating to it in any way because of how far from my experience of the world it is as someone socially isolated. It feels like they’re saying things are like this and like that but it’s often times not the case for me or people in situations like mine. It is true for most people in our western culture. But it feels like an over simplification of the human experience as a whole. While using very abstract concepts and I personally found it hard at times to understand what the author meant because of how little I relate to the way they are experiencing life, which sounds like a more privileged way of living then I could ever experience it. I still think the way they write is good, and I read this quickly. It wasn’t totally uninteresting as it made me realize what I was not in a way. But I wouldn’t recommend it or re read it to be honest. It felt like not enough to me and too distant. But...
