james e kirby: Ordered 4 lbs Raw Almonds - Normally, the nuts I've bought from this company seem very fresh, but this time many of the almonds seem shriveled and dry. Not what I expected from past experience.

Excellent. I make almond milk regularly. Have tried several brands of fresh raw almonds. Freshness & storage quality directly impacts the taste, quality and longevity of my almond milk.
All too often almonds don’t last long enough to make almond milk that’s good more than two days. Either by the time I’ve soaked and sprouted almonds before blending into milk, they starts to get an off taste.
My almond milk with these was flavorful and lasted almost a week. To me this is a signal of healthy almonds that are fresh, raw, of course, and have not been overheated (some start subtly to spoil or their oils have slight rancidity).
Was a little dubious from the packaging look, different from what I’d imagined. Thank goodness I gave them a try.
These almonds are a welcome discovery! Hoping they’re all this good. I’ll buy more for almond milk and snacks.

zgmcgee: After tossing two bags of inferior almonds purchased at Walmart (only place near me that stocks more than the little one-cup baking packages) I decided that online was the only way to go. These are wonderful: nice and fresh, tasty, and decently priced. While I hate to have to resort to having so many products shipped out here to the boonies, I am very grateful to be able to get high-quality items from Amazon. Will buy again; almonds are my go-to snack food, and these are excellent. Thank you!

Sinew_Minew: Love the company, We Go Nuts, for their quality control and sweet, fresh almonds. I've ordered this 4 lb bag several times and have found them to be consistent thus far in delivering young, whole almonds in a tightly sealed resealable bag. I make almond milk often so the large, 4 lb bag is great for my needs. Highly recommend! **To get the skin off whether just to nibble on or for making almond milk, almond butter or almond flour, I found the best way is to place the almonds in boiling water for no more than 60 seconds, 1 cup almonds to 2 cups water. Strain, pat dry with a paper towel, and when cool, just squeeze at either end. The almonds are easily released from their skins. Just be careful where you point the almond as it will go shooting across the room!!! ***Set a timer! More than 60 seconds of boiling cooks the almonds & makes them water-logged. Let the blanched almonds dry on a sheet for about 3 days. Good luck!
