schnulli2000: Wir haben diesen Eierschneider zu Ostern hauptsächlich für die Kinder gekauft. Er kam bisher auch schon häufig zum Einsatz. Die Bedienung und das Reinigen sind einfach, bei uns sind auch alle Drähte stramm und gerade eingesetzt, es gibt bei der Bedienung kein Verhaken. Außerdem finden wir das Design gerade für Kinder ganz witzig. Also aus unserer Sicht eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

Buh: The egg slicer is super cute. Unfortunately, within a month of purchase and after slicing less than a dozen eggs the wires became too loose and now won't cut all the way through. Honestly, just buy one that's a little more expensive that may work so that you don't spend your money twice.

Joseph Van Gyzen: Holy Moly. Making egg salad is a lit easier. I used this slicer to make my egg salad. Ok, it's not life changing, but it saved me several minutes of chopping and dicing eggs. I just slice them with this crazy little chicken and continue. The slices break up while adding other ingredients. I actually like the slightly larger egg pieces. I am concerned however, because the small gauge wire may break if there's too much pressure or a hard piece of food in it. But I'll be extra careful to help it last longer. So far, several dozen eggs and counting...

Wren: I ordered this to replace my old hard boiled egg slicer. I guess I'm especially hard on them because they always manage to break a wire or two on me. This one is really cute and gets the intended job done. I was slicing bananas the other day to make banana chips and it occurred to me that this slicer might work. It worked great until I cut a chunk of banana that was just a bit too long for the slicing area and forced the lid down anyway. I ended up popping a wire (or in this case, it looks like the cutting bits might be nylon cords).

I chalk this up to user error. I haven't had any problems while using it to slice eggs. I also didn't have any problems with reasonably sized pieces of bananas, but I can't recommend that sort of unauthorized guerrilla slicing. I'll probably end up getting an actual banana slicer thing in the future.
