Broke Art School Student :): So I'm an art school student and my oil painting professor had suggested to us to use baby oil as a cost effective way to clean our brushes. I was pretty skeptical at first about it since it is "baby oil" but it surprisingly worked! So now I don't really buy turpenoid or other oils anymore to clean them anymore.
