Sandy: I use this small needle to achieve small quilting stitches. It holds up well going through occasional thick areas and I can thread the larger eye with quilt thread easily. The size 10 has been great for me to do piecing as well.

robin ulrich: now it's not fair i give these a bad rating.....i gave them an average.....on the positive, they are sharp, the eye is large and easy to thread, but they are about an inch long......some quilters love this, i know......i just like my needle a bit longer.

Amazon Customer: I was pleased to be able to thread these, unlike the regular eye ones (whose eye was too small for standard quilting thread). But unfortunately, these are so short they are awkward to hold and only allow me to take one stitch at a time while quilting, which sort of defeats the purpose.
If they were half an inch longer, at least, they'd be perfect.
