Kyra Beaven: I love the fact the illustrations are so bright, bold and explain every aspect of the story. They remind me of Tintin and it's a mix of graphic novel/picture book that my students love!

Christy: Already loved this author/illustrator from his other works - Arthur and the Golden Rope, A Mouse Called Julian to name a couple - so I’ve been slowly adding to my collection. This book is a sweet take on loving the world around us and seeing the beauty in differences. Very well done.

Michael: The illustrations are just lovely. Often the first thing that captures a young kid's imagination and whether or not a book is worthy of reading is the quality of the illustrations, and these are really well done.

Morgan gant: As a teacher this is one of the best books I have ever read to students. Both KS1 and 2. There is stuff in there for all. The illustrations are amazingly done, the story is thought provoking and moving and it's obvious why it's won what it has won
