Niki500: Great fit, really helps to keep leg swelling down. The only thing is that they are not as sheer as I hoped. The regular (not sheer) support stockings are significantly cheaper.

Dorothy McKinney: I have tried several brands of support hose, and find that Jobst, while pricier than many others, is easier to put on. I also find it provides firmer support than the least expensive brands (although the other brands advertise the same 30-40 mg of pressure). I wish the petite came in honey (which makes me look as though I have a light tan), because I think it would look more stylish than the silky beige (which makes me look as thoughI have not gotten any sun, and so I think it looks less fashionable). Unfortunately, honey does not seem to be available in petite, only in regular. This is the strongest support hose you can get without a prescription. I have a couple pairs of prescription 40-50 mg hose (from another manufacturer, since I don't think Jobst makes 40-50 mg) which I use on long airline flights, but I find this 30-40 mg stocking adequate for normal days. And I find wearing support hose much more practical than the suggestion my former doctor made, which was to keep my feet elevated above my heart for most of the day -- not at all practical in an office setting!
