Ironmatik Space Saver Ironing Board - 44" x 15" Usage Area with 35" Board Length and 62" Full Length

DramaQueen: Every single ironing board I have owned before this one was dangerously wobbly. The last thing in my home that I want to be wobbly is the table that's going to hold a hot iron. So I did a little reading of reviews online, and that led me to the ironMATIK. Drum roll please....THIS IRONING BOARD DOES NOT WOBBLE. It stands there, solid and unmoving as you iron things. I'm so grateful that someone finally designed a functional ironing board.

A list of things I love about this board:
1. It. Does. Not. Wobble.
2. The silicone pad for the iron to rest on while you iron.
3. The silicone strap to store the iron on the board.
4. The classic look of the metallic gray cover.
5. The fact that I could hang this in a closet, if I ever have room enough in any of my closets to do that. ;)
6. Fantastic customer service from a woman-owned business.

And how did I find out about their customer service? Well, the only annoyance I've found with this board is that the elastic wore out on the edges of the cover after minimal use and the cover would no longer stay on the board at all. But all I had to do was let ironMATIK know and they sent me a new cover with a drawstring....

Matt F.Matt F.: When it comes to tools for work, I'm generally a believer in spending enough to get something high quality that will last & make the work easier, unless it's something that will only be needed a handful of times (i.e. disposable harbor freight tools)

I spent way too long looking at ironing boards, here at Amazon & at all the local big box stores. Everything under $100 seemed pretty poorly made while the more professional ironing boards came in at $130+ and seemed to be quite large in general - probably great to work on but I don't have a lot of storage space in my tiny photography studio.

I was about to give up & just buy another $20 board I knew I would grow to hate just like my old one, when I came across the IronMatik which seemed to tick all the right boxes:

Berferd Beanogger: This review is intended for both the engineers at Ironmatic, and for you the shopper, because there are some important issues concerning this ironing board that need consideration.

My Ironmatic arrived on my doorstep in a timely manner and double boxed. Awesome! The outer box was in perfect condition, however, the inner box had quite a large tear. The ironing board appears none the worse for wear.

The Ironmatic ironing board arrives already donning an aluminized cover. It also comes with a separate colorful cotton cover. I took one look at the extra cover and thought there is no way it’s going to fit, but with a little effort it does.

The board does nicely lock in place when collapsed. The tallest adjustment for height just barely meets my need (I’m 5' 11" tall). I could use a bit more elevation, but the height is acceptable.

The adjustment latch system has excessive play and the ironing surface moves up and down when pressure is applied on the front half (tip end) of the ironing board. It is mostly due to the loose fit of the plastic guides on each rail, where they attach to the slide arms. Placing pressure on the front half of the ironing board...
