alep85: So many units that are sold at big box hardware stores have giant bezels that prevent the unit from mounting against siding, particular if the opening is only as wide/tall as the junction box opening. This unit fits perfectly in those scenarios, and took me 5 minutes or less to upgrade my existing wall cover to this in-use one. Highly recommend.

Kelley: Installed in wet/dry locations under carports and porch. Weak point would be the plastic hinge pins but it seems solid. Closes easily as long as the cord curves into slot.

Amazon Customer: I really like the idea of this product. It's not a bad product by any means, but here's why I gave it 1 star
Installation was an absolute disaster. For the unit to be properly secured to the wall (ensuring waterproof seal) you need to screw the 3 screws from the outlet inside the unit. It's impossible to see the screw hole, I could only get the middle screw installed. So for me, this unit isn't even truely waterproof.
You have to knock out notches for the wires as well which is a huge pain. Overall an hour of sweat went into this installation and i couldn't even get it done properly.
