UsernameIrrelevant: I bought one of these years ago and have gifted many more to new cat parents. I stepped on mine and broke it, so I am replacing it. Bergen products seem to be harder and harder to find these days. I really hope that Coastal Pets isn't going to stop producing these. Not only do all of my cats like this, but it gives skittish/angry cats a more indirect way to interact and play and I love that.

Amazon Customer: One of my cats plays with this game all the time, and loves it. She actually gets both the balls rolling at the same time! Even my other cat has a try every so often (but for him the catnip is the attraction!). Sammy plays when she gets up in the morning and when I come home from work at night. She may even play during the day, but I can't attest to that. I'm very happy I ordered this product!

BKWBKW: While our daughter is serving overseas in the military, we had to rescue her cat from her "friends" who had promised to take care of him in her absence. He'd been feed poor quality food that had caused him to become obese, he'd been ignored and left outside to be beaten up by a neighbor's cat, and was in bad shape all around. In the time I've had him, I've put him on a healthy diet and he's well on his way to a healthy weight, and I've tried to get him to exercise more. The only exercise he has enjoyed is playing fetch with metal bottle tops from soda or beer bottles. We have a large house with tile floors, so if you throw the bottle tops, they bounce everywhere and make a skittering sound on the tile. For him, it's like chasing mice. He'll bring them back and demand that you throw them again. And again. And again ... He also likes swatting them around and pouncing on them.
Playing fetch has been good exercise for him (and for me when he expects ME to retrieve the bottle cap to him), but it isn't enough. I wanted something more that provide new stimulation and keep him entertained when I'm too busy to throw bottle caps.
I've been reading reviews of interactive cat...

Jeanette Tuminaro: I have a small defect with the toy, which appears to have happened almost immediately after getting it. The middle part, which you remove in order to add the provided catnip, has three small clips that you insert into small holes so that it stays attached. When I attached mine, one of my cats was able to remove that middle part and get to the catnip directly. Also, the inner ball is kept in the toy by the middle part, so when he removed the middle part, he was also able to pull the ball out and "soccer" it around the apartment.
Turns out, after inspecting it, that one of the clips has actually broken off, and now that part won't stay on. I can probably use something like super glue or something to permanently attach it, but I can't keep it on like it was intended to. This means that the toy is less effective because I have only two choices. Leave the middle part alone, and have the cat remove it at will and pull the ball out, or permanently attach it and be unable to really put the catnip in. I guess I can put it in through the holes though.
The cats do play with the toy, sporatically. It happens more right after adding fresh catnip, but they sometimes just pass by...

WildCat: The Hurricane became the third in a series of Bergan wheels we purchased for our cats. They liked the first two, Turbo and Star Chaser, so much that we thought we would give it a try with this one too. Well no surprise, the Hurricane didn't let us down. Of course they don't remain fixated on it 7 days a week, that's just not the nature of cats, but they do return to play on it regularly. It's a little pricey, but like all the Bergan wheels, it's a quality product and virtually indestructible.

Barry Austin: Oh my gosh, I did not even have the "thing" unpacked and our 13-year old part-Siamese wanted the catnip!~ They just loved this toy, each of my kitties, and it really gave them a new stimulation. Indoor cats. They seemed bored, even though love the birds out the window; but all cats need something to do:) I highly recommend this ring-toy. They just love the balls, catnip or not. I love watching them with the paw-eye co-ordination. Fabulous interactive toy for kitties! Our male orange tabby will be 3 soon, and he just loves this! THANK you!

Marcie G.: Oddly, out of all five of my cats, only one will play with this and not frequently. Yet she LOVES the basic, one track version. I'm not sure what the problem is because the principle is the same. It should be a delightful toy, and I really like its sturdy construction. I'll try filling the catnip reservoir with some fresh 'nip - maybe that'll do the trick! It should be even more popular than the single track version - double the fun, right?

JLU114: Love this!! both my cats were into this toy from the second i brought it in the door. Even my 4-year old kitty who doesnt play with toys loved this. Works even better when you add the cat nip to the middle. Can get a little annoying if you have it near the tv but it really is worth it... and i am considering buying another one for the basement!!

Tammy Horn: I take care of a feral cat colony on my property. I have several shelter houses for them and their own sheltered area, Many also come into my garage to sleep and eat. I bought this tracker to keep in the garage for one of my ferals that is very playful. This is the very best tracker I have seen. The balls roll very smoothly, so they move fast. All it takes is a little nudge and they move all the way around the track. the tracker is a good size, which is great for my large 20lb cat. We have had it for 8 months now and he uses it daily. Just recently he was able to get one of the balls out, but we were able to find it and put it back. That has only happened twice. It came with cat nip to put in the center, but I didn't use that, since it is for a feral cat and he is wild enough. He doesn't mind though, he loves this toy. If he isn't playing with it, he sleeps with his head on it. I plan on buying a couple more for my inside cats too.
