Kathleen: It wont move hardly around all on thick carpet also doesn't even turn around when it hits an object in its way. It was a totally waste of money for me cause I mostly have carpet in my apartment.

FD: Ok this toy is fantastic, my cat who is super picky about toys, he doesn’t play much with toys but he looooves that one.
The only problem is that it’s too light! Once it’s on upside down it’s game over!

KDpup: Update: Two months later and this is still the kitten's favorite toy. He plays with it every day, either chasing and pawing at it, or just watching it spin around. Charging it doesn't take too long, and the charge holds for a good amount of time, although it does seem to go in pause mode more often. Still flips over occasionally or gets stuck on something and I have to rescue it. So not purrfect, but still a fun toy. Toys are often hit or miss with cats, but this one is a hit with this kitty.

The first time turning it on, the kitten loves it and has been playing with it for about 30 minutes straight so far! We'll see if he gets tired of it or not. The only problem is that the ribbons get caught in the wheels. Kitten will pull the cord so once it spins it sometimes come out, or I'll have to do it. He will occasionally turn it over so it can get stuck. The laser also doesn't go out far enough from the toy, but but it he loves to play with the ribbons anyway. I haven't tried the feathers yet. So I really wouldn't want to leave him alone with it, but kitten definitely gives it an A+.

JamieJamie: My cat is SUPER picky when it comes to toys but my 4 year old daughter just had to get her this pumpkin one for Halloween. Well, she absolutely LOVES it and looks like a little kitten again chasing it around the house! Our cat is also quite overweight so this has been a great form of exercise for her.

It comes with 3 different attachments; 2 feathered ones and a multicoloured furry “tail”. My cat eats feathers so unfortunately, I can’t leave them on during the night (only supervised) but the little tail one is perfect to keep on all of the time. It has this crinkly fabric inside that my cat seems to just love

It has a cool touch and sense feature that wakes up the toy if it detects any sound or motion close by. My cat just loves this but it does occasionally give me a scare, especially when I come down after the kids are in bed and happen to walk by it!!

I love that there are 2 different running speeds to suit all floor types. Fast mode is suitable for carpet and slow mode is ideal for hardwood or tile floors. V. Rabbit: It does bump into everything and fails about loudly, but I think this keeps my cats attention.

I find its good to have a selection of different toys as my cat will eventually lose interest in a toy, cycling through them helps this and this toy is a welcome addition.

The battery lasts a fairly long time and recharges quickly with a standard USB cord.

Like the others, it has been lost for a while.

This is a good purchase at this price point.

AA: My two 9 week old kittens were deathly scared of this toy. They're wild, adventurous and extremely active as kittens should be. They pounce around, climb their cat tree and attack each other. I thought they'd go nuts for this toy, seeing as they like playing with their feather toys and chasing each other. Unfortunately, this toy was much too loud on the hardwood and tile. It scared them so bad, they ran and hid for the longest time and wouldn't come out!
I tried to introduce the toy several times, but I just think they are much too little for it right now. Might be better suited for older kittens or playful adult cats.
I'm still giving it a 4 out of 5 star rating because it's a very decently made toy that easily charges via a USB. It also comes with fun little add-ons to attach to the pumpkin ball to attract your kitty's attention.

TeaTea: My cats are unsure on this one. One just hides from it, the other two like playing with it when I give it to them and they expect it to move, but it also doesn’t shut off completely and is activated by noise and motion, so they will get bored and leave it somewhere and activate it while walking by and go full halloween cat. I wish it would shut off completely after a certain amount of time.

The pumpkin is also hard so you hear thumps as it bangs into things, and a lot of cats are less likely to play with a larger hard toy, something to consider before buying.

The feather attachments are just kind of pulled along as it moves, they don’t have any movement themselves. Overall, a fun toy but I can see some cats being scared of it or just ignoring it.
