This J.L. Childress 6 Bottle Cooler is the perfect solution for storing and transporting your baby's food and bottles. The insulated bag is designed to keep your items cold and is leak-proof and heat-sealed for extra protection. An ice pack is included to keep items cold for even longer. It's made of lead-free and phthalate-free materials, making it safe to use. The adjustable shoulder strap offers comfortable carrying, and the large compartments provide plenty of organization for all your baby's feeding needs. This cooler has been rated as one of the best Baby Bottle Tote Bags based on convenience, design, material quality, and overall satisfaction.springdove42: We used this on a family car trip to visit family in July 2015, and it was perfect. It could easily hold our 8 ounce Medela bottles along with an ice pack. However, what I found most exciting was that it could also hold a whole ready-to-feed formula bottle (we use Similac). Since my baby can't seem to tolerate powdered formula (it gives her diarrhea even when I use a precise measuring cup for mixing), we have to use ready-to-feed, and it is expensive! I was thrilled to find something that could easily keep the entire bottle cold while traveling for 8-10 hours a day. The ice pack that comes with it fits perfectly in the bottom, but ours ended up developing a leak by the end of our 2 week trip. It had gotten stuck to the ice tray in the fridge of one of the hotels in which we stayed, so I don't know if it was the trauma of removing it from that or just wear and tear. I would recommend having a replacement ready, however, just in case.

Dennis: Will hold about 4 8oz Medela bottles (I use the Medela freezer pack that is formed for bottles in it.) You can place another freezer pack on top or bottom - and you can definitely fit food jars, etc. in addition to the 4 bottles. I think 5 or 6 bottles wouldn't really fit - potentially 5 5oz bottles, but not the tall ones. I like the storage compartment on top - good for clean or dirty parts, extra bibs, spoons, etc. The zipper isn't super strong, so I see where people would say the quality isn't that great - but I don't see it breaking unless you overfill it and have to tug in order to get it closed (a la packing too much in a suitcase.)

Strick1226: My wife and I tried a few different solutions for transporting our son's bottles from home to daycare, with greatly mixed results. We ended up with one of these in neon green, and have just purchased a second one in black (always good to have one in each car etc.).
Our son has had some pretty bad reflux, so we've been using the standard-width Dr. Brown Natural Flow bottles. While these greatly reduce the amount of air taken in along with the formula, they also don't completely seal (by design) even with the caps on them (yes, there are "travel discs" that can be inserted to prevent the leaks from not being upright but they're not very convenient). Placing them in a bag where they're too loose is a recipe for a mess and wasted formula, so this bag is perfect--it fits six of the 8 oz Dr. Brown bottles snugly.
If the bottles and formula within them are cold from being fully refrigerated then you really don't even need an icepack to be present in the bag for short trips -- the bag is well-insulated enough on its own. I imagine one would probably add an icepack to keep bottles cold for more than an hour or so,...

Dawn F: Like all of us, I am very short on time, but am determined to write a review on this product! Previously used a Dr. Brown's bag and encountered the same problems as others (poor quality fabric, ripping, etc).
I typically pack my son's food in 4 ounce jelly jars (they're glass and I prefer that to plastic), which are pretty wide. Three of these fit nicely in the top part. In the bottom, I usually have four Dr. Brown's bottles (8 ounces), a YoBaby, and two store-bought baby food pouches. This bag fits it all perfectly. The quality of the fabric is awesome, zippers are pretty good, the handle isn't too long (so it doesn't tangle up), and it's easy to wipe down on the inside.
Shortly after buying this bag, the daycare workers commented on how much THEY liked it, as well. We use this bag daily and have experienced fewer spills, easier clean-up and no odor (very much unlike the Dr. Brown's bag). Plain design allows other family members to utilize this bag as well.
A MUST HAVE!

Krypt: I bought this bag to hold my 8oz Dr. Browns bottles in my Medela In Style Advanced pump carrier. The 4oz bottles that came with the pump weren't big enough and I needed to use 8oz bottles to pump with, which means the bag that came with the pump was too short to hold the taller bottles. This bag works well to hold four 8oz Dr. Brown bottles along with the contoured Medela ice pack. The dimensions aren't exactly right for the bottles and ice pack but it's close enough to work well and still fits in the nook in my pump bag where the old bottle bag fit (I have the messenger style bag).
Since I only use this for pumping I put the bottles back in the bag with travel caps (not the nipple and cap assembly). I haven't tried using this bag to transport assembled bottles so I don't know if that works but I suspect it would work but could be a tight fit.
This is a useful bag for holding tall bottles during the day if you're pumping and you need a taller bag then the short bag that comes with the Medela pump.
