cab: This item looks good and would have fit good if he had not been made of slippery nylon inside and out. In order for me to keep it on my unit, I had to use tape to hold it in place. Just kept slipping off and was very frustrating! After trying to get it to stay on the unit, even with the extra piece of band, I gave up and taped it to the unit. Would not buy again.

Casey: Installed on an 8,000 btu Window AC. Cover tightening straps are weak, additional bungee cord is even weaker. it will probably fit a 8,000 through 10,000 btu unit. You may need to reinforce with tape or additional real bungee cords to hold it in place. If you don't protect the outside of the unit, this cover could easily blow off during a strong Fall or Winter storm. If you properly protect the outside of the unit, then this cover should work fine. Probably could be installed with a piece of R13 Faced Insulation on the inside of the cover pressed up against your Window AC unit. . I would NOT rate this for use in climates that get very cold or below freezing as a stand alone cover.

Amazon Customer: It was easy to fit it on the air conditioner. It seems to be made of durable material and it should hold up in the weather.
