Patent Guy: The light on the helmet doesn’t work. Now I need to box it back up and return it. What a hassle. All because of poor quality control.

These helmets look nice. I have a couple. But they are not high quality helmets. I’ll use this as a back up to a better brand helmet. It’s a you get what you pay for deal.

idontreadmuch: Maybe not be recommended for the speed of a larger motorcycle, but would recommend for a 50cc scooter.
Like other reviews it’s does fog up when stopped but immediately clears up when you start up.

John Hopkins: I've been riding with this helmet for a few months now, and I love what you get for the value. The helmet light is a win, for sure. Love the crispness of the flip-up face lock. I bought this helmet because I was broke and needed a helmet. At the time, I couldn't find the daytime face shield for my more expensive helmet. This one was just about the same price as the other brand's face shield replacement. All this said, the face shield whistles too much and can't seem to be remedied. RM: Some of the components seem cheap and flimsy plastic but its the non-functional pieces. The functional parts like vents, clips, etc all seem quality. Its quite comfortable and lightweight. The visors etc are easy to use and work well. I thought I might want to return it when it came but after two rides, I think it's an ok helmet. I hope it's safe and will protect in a crash. It seems like it would.

I don't do a lot of highway riding but it's comfortable at 70mph and below, not much wind noise or whistles or vibration. Also, pretty good ventilation but not great. My head wasn't hot but I had helmets in past that had better airflow ventilation.

One thing I didn't care for is with face / chin part down, didn't feel like I had options or was getting a lot of fresh air. I had a fixed full face helmet years ago and I remember it had 3 vent settings. You could get enormous air flow to breathe or dial back couple steps and close air flow.

While I didn't really get hot or sweaty, I didn't notice much difference in vents open or closed.

On my old helmet years ago, if I opened top vents, you definitely felt airflow and cooling. I had in Colorado and remember...

Bobby: So I purchased this 2 monthes ago and have spent 2000 miles with this thing on, so here’s my 2 cents. I love the opening front, makes it so easy to slip on over my earbuds, and pop open at low speeds for better air flow. It’s comfortable to wear for long rides and even if full helmets aren’t as cool, it’s nice to have the piece of mind that this thing will protect my entire face and not just my brain bucket. No use having a good working brain if the rest of your face has been street grated off. My big Hangul and only buyer remorse with this helmet is the air flow vents. They seem to only be for looks. There are two on the top and one in front of the mouth, I notice no difference when they are open vs. closed. So most of my riding time in hot weather, I have to leave the front of the helmet open to avoid heat stress, completely negating the reason and safety of having a full facial covering. Taking that into account, I realize that the purpose of this device is safety and not to provide central air for my dome, so I won’t hit them to hard on this.

David MooreDavid Moore: Just got this in, tried it on, made some adjustments.

My first thoughts are that this is a pretty nice helmet. The quality seems to be pretty good. There were no missing stitches, the visors and the forward face lift nicely and stay in place. But when I removed the protective film from the clear visor, a small set of scratches were evident. These are hard to see in the picture, but are on the outside, so they could not have been made during shipment or when I was trying it on and getting the ridiculously long chin strap down to where the quick release buckle was properly set up. It could only have been from before the protective film was placed on it. It's only visible from inside the helmet with the light being at just the right angle, but it is nearly dead center and low, so could become a distraction while riding. Hence the one star being lost.

The vents are easy to open and close. The quick release chin-strap is really nice. The padding is comfortable. Nothing smells funny. It looks great. The tint on the inner visor is nice and I can even wear glasses (sun or reader) with it down. Everything just works. I can even wear my bluetooth earbuds with this...
