Steven: I have been remodeling the kitchen and this came in just in time for leveling cabinets on the wall. Great self leveling feature for uneven surfaces as well. Very bright , not like some others. Easy to use and battery last along time.

YB CONSTRUCTION: Started a small construction business in the spring of this year and have bought everything neccesary to work, buying a laser level was more of a luxury because I do not need it very often. Had a job coming up where it was going to save me a lot of time and started researching. Almost bought the dewalt one for $200 until I came across the Huepar. I work outside and was doubtful it would work as well as it did. You absolutely can't go wrong for the price. I didn't use it at 100 feet or anything like that but it was easily visible on my tape measure 15-20 feet away in the middle of the day. Have only had it for this one job but it worked great!

Parry Chow: Since buying this laser level I have used it to hang a curtain rod, stair railing, picture frames, ledger for deck builds, pot light installs, and most importantly framing walls. This level is so versatile that I don’t know why I didn’t get one sooner. Only advice is to get the green laser not the red one as the green is easier to see as I originally got the red laser and returned it for the green. When you first get it check for accuracy by using the template that comes with it. Don’t research any further and just get this one.

Mason A Perry: I’m a sign installer, I’ve been using it for a few months now both inside and outside. I got the receiver, seems to work quite well, but for most of my purposes the included reflector card seems to work well enough. I mostly use it for transferring centerlines across walls. Accuracy is decent, I like it more than the red dewalt it replaced. So far would recommend. Rechargeable would be nice, but it doesn’t go through a ton of batteries.

Daniel E. Hofford: I'm using this to build 5 shelves 18" apart and where a cleat to rest the shelves on will be put on two side walls 9' apart. This made the whole layout easy and accurate. A really experienced carpenter [which I am not] might have been able to lay it out easily. But this was a huge aid to me. But that could be true of any laser level. What I like about the Huepar is that the cost is great! The quality is high. They shipped it locked which protected the heart of the mechanism and you can't turn it off without first locking it. Very thoughtful. The battery polarity signs are easy to read in any light. Another bonus for ease of use.
Never having used one before it took a few minutes of playing with it to get the hang of it. That's why I purchased the simplest model. Less complexity to deal with until I'm more experienced.
Another thing I like about Huepar is that they have an extensive line of laser levels. They are dedicated to the laser level business and I appreciate that.

I'd like to see them have a model that used an 18650 battery for the boost in voltage.

There is an item that all these laser levels could use that would make them faster and easier to use. If...

MarcoMarco: I know you don't want to hear this but claiming this works outdoors is a bit misleading. I bought it to use building a retaining wall, but in full sun, the laser is visible at 5 feet and not beyond that. If you look at the outdoor photo I've attached, you can see that the laser is somewhat washed out at 15 feet, but it is overcast and drizzling here in Oregon in this photo. You cannot see the laser at 30 feet and forget about 100 feet! Even still the laser is useful outdoor for close up leveling and I'd rather have it than not.

You have to get creative with the way you use it. For example, I can point the laser at the retaining wall block face and I can see the green line 10 feet out in both directions. With it set to self-leveling, it can display a detectable green line on the wall to align the blocks with, and that's a big help. The wall is not finished yet, otherwise I would include a photo. When I'm done maybe I will.

The laser is outstanding for all indoor use as you can see in the second attached photo. Accuracy is excellent and its claimed functionality works great. I like this device a lot. It's solid and the magnets on the stand are very powerful and hold it...

M. ThaiM. Thai: The Huepar laser level is a simple device to use; there aren't many gimmicks to it other than the self-leveling mode. It was immediately useful to me in my home projects though: installing a towel ring in the bathroom and installing a new receptacle in the wall. I used the laser level with a tripod I had on hand, and it worked really well; it provided level lines that exceeded the bubble levels I have.

One of the issues I have with the Huepar is that the self-leveling function can be finicky. It sometimes blinks and doesn't want to settle if the platform/tripod you are using it on isn't close to level, so there is very little wiggle room, when you are in a tight space, like a small bathroom, and don't have a tripod or platform that has an adjustable range of 2 feet to 6 feet.

Another issue is that the self-leveling mode doesn't power off with the power button. You have to lock it back into the standard mode, with a physical switch, before you can switch it off. There's a lot of touching the level to do this process; it is a hassle if you need to walk away from your work site for an extended period of time and don't want to waste the batteries but want your guides to...
