Rae Ann Johnson: Brooke shares some examples of some amazing huddles in her book. There is so much to learn on every page about why having a huddle is so important and maintaining your huddle even more crucial.

Kristen Bastis: The stories of women gathering and doing the work to make things better for themselves and those around them brought me hope for the future.
Well written and a lovely book, I laughed and cried and was deeply touched. I can’t wait to talk about it at book club. Highly recommend!

Craig A. Horowitz: Living and working from my home in Santa Monica, California during the pandemic, I got to "meet" Brooke Baldwin watching CNN during my lunch break. When I heard about "Huddle" I bought the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. While its topic involves women over time in many settings huddling to organize and effectuate change, I highly recommend it for men as well. I learned a lot about women and their struggles that I thought I understood but did not. I only have one very small constructive criticism. The book, organized in a free flow fashion, sometimes left me confused about how one topic led to the next. I would have preferred a chronological or thematic structure. Nonetheless a stunning first book and I hope Ms. Baldwin continues to write.

JJR: I've watched Brooke on TV for years but never heard her backstory. When she left CNN and announced the publication of this book, I had to have it. I've tacitly felt she was a mentor but never knew the specifics of just how much. Now, after reading her long road in journalism, her dreams come true, and then her dreams expand, I am more stoked that she's done what she set out to do and now, reports deeper groups of huddling or connections. Her first acknowledging the Huddle that women of color innately do and that white women have had to re-learn to trust and create in these times, is also inspiring and a credential that what my friends and colleagues are naturally doing in these past few years. We are drawn to support each other through the stages of our lives - in personal, business, and all aspects of our unique lives. I highly recommend Brooke's book as an anthem to whom we are growing into and becoming and, remembering who we always have been. I felt good reading her words and also smiling that it took so long for her to get it . . but I too was in a male-dominated work environment where Huddling wasn't always healthy. But, I did it, insisted that I form my "friends group"...
