ME: You need this to protect outside outlets, especially if you go on vacation. I came back from a trip to find an electric bill that was double normal. That's when I got this lock for the outlet. So glad I found it.

American ConsumerAmerican Consumer: I have an outdoor outlet that has a very old cover which got broken off. Installing this new Hubbell Bell flip cover was a snap. It took only a few minutes. I noticed that there are snap in inserts for a variety of fixtures. I have a large rectangle outlet - so, I removed the insert. There is an insert (see my photos) for a standard outlet and another that can be used for a switch or a variety of circular plugs.
Overall, this is a great cover and I hope it will give us many years of protection to our outdoor outlet.

- Attractive (as far as flip covers go)
- Flexible and can be used for a variety of outlets and switches
- Includes new foam pad and screws
- Instructions included (I didn’t use them)
- Cover is spring loaded so it always stay shut by default even if mounted sideways
