This kit contains all the essential items you need to provide your pet with medical care in the event of an emergency. It includes items such as bandages, antiseptic wipes, ointments, and more. With the HOME VET BAG, you can be sure that your furry family member is getting the best care possible. Laura Harrington NopperLaura Harrington Nopper: The bag it's self is nice enough quality. It has several different compartment to organize your supplies in whatever manner suits your needs.
The provided supplies are a decent enough starting place. Some of the items such as the bandage sheers do not feel particularly sturdy or reliable to me. I wouldn't recommend relying on them and picking up a decent medical grade pair.
The thermometer is ok quality and reads reliably.
The small individually labeled inner pouches are a nice idea. Bandaging, tools, wound care etc... I chose to immediately add my existing supplies to those. And built on the kit immediately.
The guide book is a good preliminary read. An actual pet first aid class and manual is really indispensable and if it is within your means, a very good idea.
I like the kit overall. It is a great starting place providing a really basic overview of what should be in every pets kit.
I recommend practicing with the items beforehand so you can use them effectively in the event of first aid situation.

James Cardenas: Very happy with items in this kit, I added items we already had, ear wash, septic powder etc. Definitely recommend for any pet owner to have just in case, better to have it than not

Stacey: Finally! Something affordable and customized from a real vet. I don’t typically buy things I see advertised however this one should be a no brainer to have. Whether you are a breeder or pet owner this bag is a must have. You cannot buy each item or the bag itself at that price.(yes, I checked) also comes with a manual to help with the questions of when to vet ASAP and what can wait for the vet the next day

AlexAlex: This bag has everything I need in case of an emergency for my fur-babies! I've purchased other emergency kits previously and found them lacking. As a veterinarian, I want to know that my clients would be prepared in case of an emergency and this bag definitely fits the bill! I am planning a cross-country trip in the very near future and plan to keep this close by! I also have ample space for ear cleaner, my pet's medications, nail clippers, and treats! This purchase was most definitely worthwhile!

NGHartford: This kit is a great start, but I added several things to mine to make me feel more prepared for an incident. The first is a Burts Bees saline solution for eye wash. This kit comes with some but I prefer Burts Bees. Other things I added include a hydrogen peroxide rinse, an antiseptic spray (easier to apply than an ointment on a squirmy dog) a flee comb, a tick remover, a LED emergency light up collar, two meals worth of dog food, and some leftover prescription puppy pain killers (essentially doggy ibuprofen- you can ask your vet for some) the thing i FORGOT to add and that is NOT include is styptic powder. This should be a must in every first aid kit and I was sure it came with some but looking frantically after accidentally clipping my pups quick proved otherwise. I had to send my husband to Walgreens to get some so needless to say we are now well stocked, but i was very disappointed it wasn't included. Overall, its a great little bag- I like that its labeled pet emergency and it does OK for minor incidents.
