Auntie B: Most were bland or had too much sauce that tasted canned. Some sauces tasted like wallpaper paste (which I’ve never tasted but am sure that’s what it would taste like). Beef ones were made with dry chipped beef. The beef stew had virtually no vegetables - only one teeny piece of carrot, a couple of gravely peas and a gravy that tasted nothing like gravy. After trying 8, I had to throw the rest of them out. Very expensive for such poor quality.

Amazon Customer: Overall I’m very impressed with this variety pack and with with the HMR food in general. I stumbled into these simply looking for low calorie foods and was excited to find these shelf stable, low cal meals.

I assumed these would not taste great, I expected a level below frozen foods, which are already not great. The overall vibe I got from the reviews did not make me think different, but I was okay with that, I’m fine with sacrificing taste power cals. That being said, after tasting all the meals I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find that these tasted great, better than frozen versions of the same(or similar) meals. I liked literally every meal that had food in it that I like(the ones I didn’t like had mushroom, which I don’t like in general).

So after that raving why 4 stars and not 5? The potions simply arnt what I expected given the way the food is described and how much emphasis this company puts on how filling their meals are, even when you add the veggies they recommend. While not as filling as advertised they are however are still significantly more filling than most other foods that are only 200ish to 250ish calories.

Francis Wright III: I am not much of a cook, I tend to eat out a lot. I do weight training and Crossfit and use a macro calculator on my phone to track my macros, but eating out a lot makes that difficult because many restaurants do not publish macro data on their offerings. I really hate the taste of frozen dinners. I've tried meal prep services, but the shipping trash is ridiculous (huge gel packs and giant cardboard boxes to get rid of) and the shelf life of those meals is so short I almost always ended up throwing the last one or two away. And they really didn't taste that great either.

So when I saw these, I figured I'd give them a try but I was skeptical. Before even finishing the first case I had already signed up for a subscription. Even though I'm fairly picky, I love every single one of the meals in the case of 14! They're all delicious! The portions are going to seem small to people that are used to eating the ridiculous food portions that we Americans indulge in. But once you train yourself to eating less, you'll find these adequate to satisfy your hunger.

HawaiikcHawaiikc: I ordered this 14 variety pack because I had read some good reviews about the HMR diet program.
Most of these meals were on the small side for me, but I guess I am use to larger meals, which is why I am overweight to start with. I will list the meals by how high I rated them. I based my rating on how well these meals tasted in relationship to other single meal, diet packs.
-- Chicken w/BBQ Sauce – 8/10.
This was by far the best of the bunch. I would highly recommend this meal, as it had a lot of flavor.. The BBQ sauce added a nice zing to the meal, really making the whole meal melt in your mouth as you saver the meal. I even mixed my side veggie into the left over sauce to mop it all up. I will definitely buy this one in the future.

These both had a good flavor to them. The Enchiladas tasted better than most microwave enchiladas that are sold, and the lasagna was actually somewhat filling, having a decent amount of sauce and a flavorful meat sauce. I would definitely buy this one in the future.
