Hills Prescription Diet k/d Kidney Care Canned Dog Food with Chicken for Optimal Kidney Health

Ann TK.: Canned dog food was not on my list of things worth trying, but my Yorkie is 16 years old and the vet recommended this one. My picky little eater of a dog devours it…to the point that I feel bad that I didn’t try this sooner. My doggo was also having some incontinence issues that have reduced on this food. I have a hard time with the smell personally but the cans are easy to open and store. I like to mix it with the kibble since it’s a bit pricey…but highly recommend.

Jenn: Beef stew with real beef, carrots and spinach. No grain. It looks like real stew you would see in a beef stew can for people. My dog loved it. It helps dogs digestion and if they are recovering from a kidney issues. My dog was poisoned so he had renal failure due to a neighbor using “Decon rat poison” to kill squirrels in his yard. My 10 month old puppy got ahold of one pellet the squirrels left on our side of the fence. But he’s healthy now and this food helped tremendously.

FanfanFanfan: My vet prescribed this to my 16 year old dog because she’s showing early signs of kidney failure. The first few days she loves it but I think she’s slowly getting tired of the flavor. I would recommend switching different brands or flavors so your fur baby don’t get tired of it. She also loves its wet food so it’s easy for her to chew. I wish these type of dog food weren’t so pricey tho

MarcoB: This is fairly expensive food, but my dog is worth it. This is a paste type of product, it looks like cooked ground beef on the label, a little misleading. Most importantly, she eats this down to the last drop in the bowl. I feed her the hills dry food along with it that is K/D dry food, thats the only dry dog food I have ever seen her eat without wet food. But I mix it with wet just to be sure she eats it all. I will continue to buy this product.
