AT: This camera works as described and integrates with third party security and smart home systems via ONVIF and RTSP protocols. There are some things that can be made better, for example, implementing an ONVIF event when someone presses a bell button, but this is not a professional security system so whatever it does already exceeds standard consumer expectations. Documentation is scarce, but can be found on Internet. Quality is good and the price is one of the best in its class. Feature wise it easily beats Google Nest doorbell.

JW: This doorbell camera is quite the device. It’s relatively easy to install. Be sure to turn power off to the circuit though. It’s real easy to let the magic smoke out of electronic stuff like this. The Ring don’t have nothing on this. In fact the Ring is child’s play compared to this. Don’t hesitate on buying this one JUST BUY IT!
On second thought maybe you shouldn’t buy it. Mine keeps going off line and it’s a bitch to get back on again. Simply pushing the reset doesn’t do it and I can’t remember what I did last time to make it work again. It may have to be powered down for a few minutes than rebooted. I’m not sure. But hey when it’s online it’s great. I hate the fisheye live view. Quite lame if you asked me.

LATINOLATINO: The doorbell is nice and all but the setup was a nightmare, word of advice DON'T try and pair it up with Hikconnect because it'll it give you constant connection errors or will connect to your doorbell without internet and won't be able to finish setting up the doorbell, instead download and install EZVIZ and that'll save you the headache of trying to pair it up with Hikconnect. There's some pros and cons with the door bell just like any other.
CONS:
1.As you can see in the pictures the angled mount that comes with it is not angled enough to cover the whole entrance, so if your old doorbell was installed on the side you'll have to either move the wiring to relocate the mount so it can look forward rather then sideways if you want it to cover the whole entrance, get an angle mount 3d printed or use a ring pro doorbell angle mount, if yours was installed looking forward then it'll work perfect is it's installed looking straight and not sideways.
2. I had to Frankenstein the 3rd party angle mount I had the ring doorbell mounted on in order to get it to cover all the area I wanted.
3. The other problem is the night vision, it will not click on for some...

Knightsbridge1000: The DS-HD1 is intended to replace an older front doorbell/intercom system. Before ripping out the working intercom it was imperative to prove the new envisioned solution would function as intended with a complete working lab. The goal was to use the DS-HD1 at the front door configured to an Android smartphone in the typical configuration along with two other devices to view the front doorbell camera plus other cameras already installed on the property.
The second viewing device would replace the intercom control panel and a 10.4" wall mounted Android tablet running IVMS 4500-HD is used for this purpose. A third viewing device is an existing Windows workstation running IVMS 4200 monitoring all the cameras shown on the phone and tablet plus additional local & remote cameras.
Since I was creating a working lab environment before physical installation I was able to skip the mechanical install and go stratight to setup and operation once proper power was supplied to the DS-HD1. The three videos Hikvision produces for installation, setup and operation are quite good. Installation was uneventful but a lengthy process with a lot of QR code scanning and cloud...

BradBrad: This is a review of the DS-HD1 Hikvision USA Original 3 Megapixel HD WiFi Video Smart Doorbell. Purchased October 2020.
Bottom Line Up Front: I ding this 1 star because it was challenging for a tech geek and would not be easy for a novice (those who might enjoy Ring). Would I buy it again? Yes, for my back door and also giving for Christmas gifts this year. So, putting my money where my mouth is.
Fish eye lens makes the image a little distorted, but I think anyone being serious about this camera ($120) knows this is not for photography. Placement is crucial and background light can create dark faces so ensure you consider this.
In my photos you can see where a live thumbnail for an existing Hikvision IP camera and how the door bell does not have one, you can see the fisheye round lens, along with day and night shots.
Pros:
- Hikvision. Love this brand. Solid and just works. I have purchased nearly 22 Hikvision cameras for multiple residencies.
- Synology DS Surveillance System compatible.
- Installation instructions were straight forward and all necessary hardware supplied.
- Good video, Good audio microphone (lets be real, it is a fisheye...

Mike M.: The installation of the hardware is non trivial, completely depending on how your existing doorbell hardware is set up. That's definitely going to be an everybody's different type of thing.
Speaking as an android user, the software setup is somewhere between a disaster and a joke. I can scan the QR code, but get 504 gateway errors most of the time. Eventually I got past that page and then clicked the download and the button changes to "go to desktop to check the installation". What desktop? This is an android app. Nothing downloads my phone just sits there. Oops there's another nginx 504 gateway error. Why the hell isn't there an app in the google play store? What a steaming pile of garbage. At least the ring app works.
OK so it looks their webserver was down for a while. Bad timing I guess. The Rating is now 4 stars. I had a hell of a time finding the verification code, turns out it's on the user manual. Thanks to the people who answered my question. Still setup is non trivial, but I did get it working with Zoneminder (also non trivial) and it mostly works, altho it does seem to disconnect from the wifi every once in a while.
The good part, there is no...

Dexie64: I wasn't able to figure out how to make working with my Synology surveillance. The cam is not listed under the HV models and the password is not what you setup during the installation. While jumping from one: HV's registration acc. and local ones, I couldn't find any help about this particular HV model. For time being I am using a micro SD card. The camera itself seems like a good product and installation was easy. Although this is my first HikVision camera, and I am quite familiar with pro IP Cameras setups this was a nightmare for me. This camera's software SUCKS. I wasn't able to setup this camera on multiple phones and there is NO web page that you can login ?!? SADP tool might help but read carefully instructions about where to locate the password. (because I didn't get the meaning for 2 types of credentials). The updated version of the software that came, the other day, keep reminding me about upgrade although it was installed. On camera's alarm settings, I had to setup max. 5 feet of areas covered but the cam will still collect shots from 30 feet away although sensitivity level was slide to the minimum. Please let us know if anyone had success with config/installation with...

Luziana Luli Brazil: The media could not be loaded. *In the end I explain how I installed and re-installed*
I had re-editing my post because I was so frustrated after a while using it because my internet provider did upgrade on my modem for another and changed the password, so when I tried to change the internet on DS-HD1 hikvision doorbel camera app (Hik-Connect) it didn't want to go nowhere. So I pressed reset and the re=installation processed wasn't possible because the EZVIZ wi-fi password doesn't work anymore. So I tried their website, videos, calling them and they have lots of things discontinued, for some reasons that I don't know Chinese products were discontinued, ok, but nobedy answers the questions, I tried calling, just a recording saying press 1, press 2, but never ever get through. It's like, after purchasing I lost the
money if I try to install it again. And it hurts because it was a really good product so far. I learnt how to install and to make it record all day and night and still notify motion.
When I just started using I said:
I never had any notification when someone passed by my front door, just got a image when the person pressed the doorbell. But even...
