Iordertoomuchstuff!: The single is absolutely worth the money. It does self inflate, but give it 1 or 2 bags of air or 4 good breaths.
The other reviewers state that it lost air, I saw this the first time I used it, but then found the trick. Listen to the valve, you can hear if it's not seated correctly. You can also hear if it is. Once seated right, no air will escape.
It is amazingly comfortable, and absolutely warm.
I will say it's the best camping mat I have ever used. Absolutely worth spending the money.
Took a 10 day trip with it, was amazing every night.

Brenda Shockley: I’m 6 foot 205 pounds. What a game changer for me. I’ve tried several inflatable style pads with little success. I finally spent the money and so glad I did. As a side sleeper hip pain is the biggest concern and I’ve always had it to varying degrees in the past. But with this pad not at all. Spent 6 nights camping and slept wonderfully. It is wonderfully comfortable. I just open it up and let it self inflate. I don’t add any additional air. The only downside is the size when deflated. I even use an air pump to suck as much air about as possible but it’s still a bit large. But definitely worth the hassle to get a great nights sleep.

Rachel: I'd give it a full 5 stars on everything except for the fact that it is bulky to pack and if you add too much air, it can be stiff as a board and uncomfortable. This can be easily remedied though by releasing some air and then it's the most comfortable I've ever been camping. I had no trouble inflating. If you just open the valve completely, it inflates in seconds.

AgileJen: So yeah it doesn't TOTALLY self inflate but the bag is very easy to use and fast.

This thing is so comfortable. Like it's top notch, as good as my mattress at home, and it's not like I have a bad mattress at home either. I tent camp all summer long and am very glad I chose this!
